when I was small I believed that all dogs were male and all cats were female, and they would mate and have a litter of kittens and puppies. It blew my mind to find out that wasn't true...(and sometimes it still does...)

Growing up I believed that all dogs were boys and all cats were girls. I thought cats looked too feminine to ever be a boy. Even when I learned otherwise, I still always referred to cats as shes and dogs as hes.

Like many others, I thought that cats were female and dogs were male. This was because of the Good Girl cat treats and Good Boy dog treats. I used to think that dogs and cats would get married and the cats would give birth to lots of puppies and kittens.

When I was little, we had 3 cats and they were all female. My uncle had a dog that was male. Since I didn't know any male cats or female dogs, I thought all cats were girls and all dogs were boys.

When I was little we had a dog and a cat. I thought dogs were boys and cats were girls so I thought that dogs and cats got married. I didn't think that 2 dogs could marry without being gay and 2 cats would be lesbians. I was later told that both of our pets were female and I was disappointed as that would mean they couldn't have baby kittens/dogs.
