I used to believe that all dogs were male and all cats were female. Until I saw a litter of puppies being born (males didn't have puppies!!).

I see someone anonomously has already put my belief up, the one about cats being female and dogs being male but I also didn't know the truth until I was about 9 yrs. old when my mom told us about the birds and bees. Then I got the idea how things actually work. I am glad to see I am not the only kid who thought that.

I used to believe that all cats were girls, and all dogs were boys. The two would get together and make girl cat babies and boy dog babies. I have no idea where this came from other than I thought cats were more feminine and dogs were more masculine.

When I was a little girl I thought all dogs were girls and all cats were boys. I also thought the little pieces of poop that get stuck by a cats tush would hurt them so I tried to pick them off my not so happy cat.

I'm not sure how or why I came to believe this, but when I was young I was convinced that all cats were female and all dogs were male. Imagine my surprise when my grandfather's dog had puppies! I guess I figured that cats and dogs mated together, and the cats were the ones to birth both kittens and puppies!

until i was about 10 years old, i believed that all dogs were male and all cats were female. when a dog and a cat got married they would have little girl kittens and boy puppies.

When I was young I thought that all cats were female and all dogs were male. Cats and dogs would reproduce and the offspring were either cats or dogs, depending on the gender.

I also thought that only cats were female and only dogs were male. I guess its because cats at so feminine and loving, but dogs are boisterous etc. Plus, it doesn't help a childs imagination when you only have female cats and male dogs. Its great to here I wasn't the only one!
