A woogie:
A boogie man and a warewolf live in the basement and like to eat little girls
There was a loop rug of an owl that hung in our basement, and my brother and cousin and some friends would play "dark hide-and-seek" and whenever I was "it" and would give up looking for them, they would tell me that there was a trap door behind it and that was why I could never find them...you don't know how many times I played hide-and-seek with my friends and could NEVER find that door!
i used to believe that when i was little that monsters lived in my basement and i couldn't go down there alone and whenever you went to the bathroom and flushed the toilet the monsters came up through the closet so i would flush then run.
a giant spider lived under the landing to the stairs leading down to my basement
When I was little my grandfather would tell us a story. "There once was a little (boy or girl) named (enter name) who came to visit" (I don't remember all of it), but he would say it in such a quiet deep voice, that all us grandchildren would get close to hear, and he would go on, and at the end he would scream "And the Boggieman Got Them" - We would all scream -- TO this day, I will not be in their basement alone, and I walk up the stairs backwards, because Im afraid of the boogieman! - Im 26!
I believed that monsters lived in my basement & came alive at night. In the house I lived in as a child, there was a door in my basement behind the radiator that I think led to some weird, unused little cubby-type space, but when I was little I thought that it led to another dimension where the monsters lived.
That The Incredible Hulk lived in my basement.
When I was Younger im 24 now, My mom told me there was an old woman who was locked in the basement of our house by her son. One night she escaped and her son found her brought her back to the house and killed her
I used to think that evil wolves lived in our basement at night, and also snakes. I always avoided going down there at night, and if I absolutely had to, I would dart down there, do what I needed to do, then run up the stairs because the wolves were chasing me.
When I was about 7ish I believed that there were zombies in my basement
I used to believe there was a giant squirrel that lived in my grandparents basement. I would only go down there with a lot of people.
I used to run up the basement stairs as fast as I could because I thought the boogeyman was going to get me.
when i was rather small, i had a nightmare about a man that lived in my basement workshop. for years i would not go down there by myself.
when i was little i thought if i didnt run up the basement stairs when my back was turned, a wolf would get me
My father had my nieces and nephews convinced that there was a crack monster in the basement and it was the one who made "THAT NOISE".
I used to belive their was a killer Pink Bunny living in my basement, this was becasue of a old easter decoration lying in the shadows of my basement.
Later on in life I thought the Basement was infested with spiders, due to the cobwebs clinged to the ceiling.
After seeing the movie "Ernest Scared Stupid", my sister and I believed there were trolls living in our basement. So, just like in the movie, we went downstairs with cartons of milk in case we ran into a troll. (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, Ernest used milk to kill the trolls in the movie!)
I used to beleive that monsters lived in the basement.
