When i was in first grade someone told me that if I turned of the light and said black sheep bloddy marry 10 times then a lady would jump out of the mirror and chop my head off. I was sooo scared of that, I was scared of mirrors for a long time!

I used to (and still to this day) have this unnatural fear that Hotel mirrors are one-way mirrors containing hidden cameras on the other side and that someone is watching me. I have a very hard time undressing in front of hotel mirrors. Sometimes I even talk to them just in case someone is listening! Strange...

I used to really want to see what I looked like when my eyes were looking to the side. So I'd look into the mirror and look to the side, then as fast as I could, I would look back to see if I could catch a glimpse of myself with my eyes looking the other way.

I heard from my friend that if you look in the mirror at night and then go to sleep you would have a nightmare. So every night when i brushed my teeth i never looked up in the mirror so i brushed my teeth with my eyes closed.

when I was little I thought that if you looked in a mirror and didn't see your own reflection you would die. The other reflection was supposed to be a picture of who you would be in your next life. Sometimes in the dark I was convinced that it wasn't me in the reflection and I totally freaked out!

If you look at the mirror in a bathroom at midnight, you can see what your boy friend looks like. So, I waited until midnight in the bathroom. The next morning, I was found on the bathroom floor!

I thought the Virgin Mary appeared in my bathroom mirror -- curious, because there were no Catholics in a 2-mile radius of my house. It had two eyes, a mouth, and even some hairs! I videotaped it and freaked out everyone.

When I was 10 my sister told me that she had seen the face of the person she was in her past life in the mirror in the bathroom. She said that once when she was alone at home, she went in the bathroom, closed the door and switched off the lights but before that she put a candle right next to her but in a way when the mirror wouldn't reflect it. So she concentrated on watching the point right between her eyebrows. After a while her face got another shape and changed into a man's face. She got scared, blew out the candle and ran away. I believed her when she told me this but now I'm not quite sure I still believe her. We were kids back then and sometimes kids make up that kind of stories just to attract someone's attention.

In my bathroom there were 2 mirrors, one in front and one in back on a door. I use to beleive that if you could see yourself mant times multiplied in the mirror then at the very end was a little person waving at you. But I could never see that far....

I went through this phase when I was about 6 where I strongly believed that the person in the mirror was the REAL me and I was just her reflection, and that there was a thing where we got switched. I think I must've read too much Alice in Wonderland.

I used to believe that when you go in the bathroom and you look at the mirror, you would have to keep looking at it or you might not see your reflection...

The mirrors in the upstairs bathrooms in my house had cabinets behind them with a slot for used razors. Until I was about 10, I thought all bathroom mirrors had cabinets, but that some were nailed to the wall because the razor slots were full and the builders didn't want peple to get hurt. This is also why the downstairs mirrors were bigger - to cover the hole.

I read somewhere that you can only see ghosts in mirrors and you can't see vampires in them at all.
This made washing my hands in front of the bathroom mirror at night very tricky as I'd have to stare into the mirror checking for ghost and whip my head around every few seconds to make sure no vampires were sneaking up on me.

When I was growing up, there was a huge cedar wardrobe in my room that had a two large mirrors built into the doors. It faced my bed and I always avoided looking into those mirrors at night. I was convinced they were somehow two way - regular mirrors by day, and spyholes by night. I couldn't bring myself to look at those mirrors after the lights went out because I might see some odd person watching me!

I used to believe that if I stared into a mirror long enough then I'd turn into someone else. That belief eventually evolved into me thinking that if I stared long enough I'd see what I'd look like as an adult.
