I used to believe there was a big fierce gorilla under my bed at night. When I came into my room, I would turn off the light and jump into the top bunk as soon as possible, breathing a sigh of relief that the gorilla didn't get me.

My brother told me that if I slept with my feet uncovered the boogie man would come and take you away. I still can't sleep without a blanket over my feet no matter how hot it is

I used to believe a monster lived under my bed and everytime I wanted to go to sleep and turned off the ligth the monster woke up and wanted to catch my feet. That's why I always jumped to my bed... to keep my feet with me. But he had just only one chance to do it at night.

When I was little, my parents would tell me that if I didn't comb my hair before I went to bed, the knot monster would come and mess up my hair even more in my sleep. The knot monster use to be a half shark, half walrus type figure who use to come out from the back of my bed-head.

When I was younger, I used to believe that if I didn't sleep with all of my limbs concealed by the blanket, a man with an axe would come in the middle of the night and chop them off.

When I was about four, I was terrified of the monsters that I thought lived under my bed. Luckily, my dad told me he "didn't allow monsters in the house." I believed him, and never had a problem with monsters again.

when i was younger i watched this movie on Disney called "Don't Look Under the Bed" and it was about the Boogie man and i thought it was real. So every night I would turn out my light and literally jump in my bed and sleep as close to the wall as i possiably could. When I had to clean under m y bed it had to be in the daytime. And to this day, and I'm 15, i hurry to get in my bed and i never look under there at night unless the light is on.

As many kids, I believed that monsters lived under my bed. But since they never came out, I figured that God had put a force-feild under my bed and that they could not escape, so I sometimes taunted them by putting my hands down just next to my bed.

I used to believe that there were monsters under my bed and in my closet. The monsters under the bed were bad monsters who would get me but the monsters in my closet were good and would protect me from the bed monsters so I always had to have the closet door open when I went to bed.

I used to believe that there was a creature (or something) under my bed that would grab my feet so I had to sleep with the blankets pinned tight under my feet and around my whole body so nothing could get me

A variation on the "Monsters under the Bed" theme: When I was little, I believed that there were two monsters that lived under my bed. I had to sleep on my back in the exact middle of of the bed, because if I strayed too far to one side, the monster from the opposite side of the bed would get jealous and attack me from it's side.

I used to belief that the monsters under the bed would eat me if any part of my body, except for my head, poked out from under the blanket. It was terrifying when I needed to turn the bedside lamp on, I had to do it quickly or the monsters would get me. But as soon as the light was on the monsters would disappear.

When I was younger I believed that the monsters in the dark wouldn't be able to 'get me' if I was completely tucked in right up to my ears, I couldn't sleep with my limbs out of the covers no matter how warm it was!
