I bite my nails but my auntie tells me that they will stay like that forever so I stopped. My cousin still bites hers and hers have stopped growing now! spooky or what!!!

I thought that when you bit your nails, and if you swallowed them, there was a little box at the back of your neck where they were stored. If you bit them too much, the box would explode, and that was why I thought you shouldn't bite your nails.

When my friend caught me biting my nails, she said that a few years ago, a girl died because she bit her nails and skin on her fingers and swallowed them. They got stuck in her throat and fomed a huge ball that she choked on and made her die. I didn't beleive her but sometimes when i bite my nails, I think about what she told me and stop straight away; but it doesn't always work!

i used to bite my nails when i was little. my friend told me that if i did, my nails would eventually stop growing back. (keep in mind she was in 2nd grade) i was scared, but kept biting my nails.

When i was younger my grandpa would tell me that if i bit my nails then they would attach themselves to the lining of my stomach and make me very sick. He told me he had a friend that bit her nails and she became very sick and was hospitalized. When the doctor went to operate her stomach was full of nails and he couldnt help her so she died. Now I am 16 and I know that is not true. I wish i would have believed it because i still bite my nails.

I've had the habit of biting my nails since I was little, and one day, my friend's mom told me that if I kept biting them, a huge claw would grow out of my stomach. Surprisingly, that didn't stop me.

I never bit my nails, because I never wanted to and also because when I was 5 my friend told me I would grow animal claws if I didn't bite my nails.(He was trying to make me start the habit but it had the opposite effect... claws are cool!)

when i was young i was told by my headteacher in an assembly that our nails had snakes eggs in tem and when you bite your nails they hatch inside you. i cried that night thinking that there was sakes inside me,my mother contacted the department of education and the headteacher got an official warning. the heads name was Mr.Nutter

When I was in fourth grade, my mom told me that if you bite your nails, you can get a very bad disease. I stopped biting my nails. I'm 16 now and still don't know if its true or not.

my cousin had to go to the hospital because she had a sick stomach, she was there for a while and lost 10 lbs. to get me to stop biting my nails my parents told me that she got sick from biting her nails and she was lucky she didnt die but since i was littler i would definatly die, i forgot a few days later and bit a nail then remembered what they said and cried until the assured me i wouldnt die.
