when i was 6 i used to suck my thumb.. a lot, my mom told me if i keep sucking my thumb,i will go bald,she said thats what happens to thumb suckers.so one day at the store i saw a bald man then i shouted MOMMY THIS MAN IS BALD HE SUCKS HIS THUMB!!i was pointing at him and he gave me wierd looks and my mom was verry embarrased and told me it wasnt true she just wanted me to stop,so when i found it wasnt true,i started doing it again,except one day whn i was brushing my hair i saw alot of hair in it,so i stopped,haha!

I used to think if you sucked on your thumb, it would grow bigger and bigger because it absorbed all your saliva. My mother told me this, and it scared me enough that I never did it.

my cousin is 13 and he still secretly sucks his thumb i stops at 3 because when i was on a bus with my dad i saw a man missing his index finger i asked my dad what had happened thing that my dad knew every thing. He said that the man must of sucked his thumb and swallowed it in his sleep.

I used to suck my thumb and my dentist always told me not to. One time she mentioned that my teeth were becomming the same shape as my thumb. Of couse she meant my teeth were starting to stick out to fit my thumb, but I thought she meant my two front teeth looked like thumbs. I was self-concious of my thumb-shaped teeth for years!!

i am now 13 years old and i still suck thumb which sounds ridiculous i know but that didnt stop me neither did the endless stories i got told. it wasn't that i didnt believe them i was young and gullable i just didnt care and wanted to see what would happen & if they were REALLy telling the truth.
One of the stories was that if i sucked my thumb for long enough my teeth would stick out and eventually my whole body would turn into bugs bunny. That sounded really cool to a young girl so i was kinda dissappointed when it didnt happen .

although (and perhaps because) i was never a thumb sucker, I believed that if I sucked hard enough, I could get water to come out of my thumb. in reality, of course, this water was my own saliva.

I had a really bad habit of sucking my thumb, and I sucked it until I was 9 years old. (the only reason I stopped was because of an expander in my mouth. There just wasn't room for my thumb anymore!) My grandpa used to tell me all the time that if I kept sucking my thumb, I would grow a monkey's tale!! It just made me suck it more

When I was little I believed that my double jointed "hitch hikers" thumbs were because of I sucked it so much and my left thumb goes back so it my thumb looks straight and my right thumb goes back less and I remember sucking my left thumb more so I thought it was because of sucking it.

My mums boyfriends thumb got chopped off by a chainsaw when he was cutting down a tree so when we first met him he told me his thumb fell off because he used to suck it. Then everytime i sucked my thumb he wud wave his thumb in the air and eventually made me stop
