i used to believe babies came out of your belly-button, and that your belly-button was a hole. so i always tried to poke my finger into my bellybutton "hole" and search for a baby. it never worked.

I used to believe that if I played with my belly button, the knot would come undone and all of my insides would spill out. Thinking about it still makes me uneasy.

When I was little, I had and outtie belly button. Well, my brother and my mom both told me constantly that I was a Cabbage Patch Kid, and that they had found me under a leaf of lettuce.

When I was little my dad told me if I played with my belly button too much it would come undone and all the food would fall out of my stomach. My brother was convinced he had a seed in his belly button and he picked it until it bled.

I used to believe that babies came out of your belly button, and that's why we had them (I didn't take into consideration the fact that men also had them!)

When I was little, i used to think that a monster was trying to get out of my "innie" bellybutton. I always used to cover it up with tape or a band-aid. However, I now have an outie bellybutton as a result of surgery.

Me and my sisters all have sticky-innie belly-buttons and when we were all little our mum used to tell us not to pick and poke at our belly-buttons or they would come unravelled!

My sister still believed this until the age of 28 - when me and my other sister explained it was just one of those things mums say!

I have an outie and up until 5th grade, I believed that everyone else had an outie too. The first time I saw an innie, I made fun of it. I was quickly corrected and I felt very stupid.

I used to believe that when you got sick and were to throw up, that the barf came out of your belly - button. So every time I would get sick, I would watch my belly button to see if there was anything coming of it.

My mom always used to say,"Don't scratch your belly button or it will bleed." So I when we were at church, and everyone was singing, I started screaming and balling so loud everyone stopped singing. It was because my brother had poked my belly button (which at the time seemed close enough to scratch) and I though blood was going to start pouring out of my belly! I was terrified!!!! I never lived it down.
