I used to believe that if someone hit you on your back when you're eyes were wide open your eyes would pop out of their sockets.
I used to think that when I closed my eyes, I saw my imagination.
I used to believe that if you kept your eyes open for too long, they would fall out. I spent most of third grade squinting.
I used to believe that blind dates were dates for people who were blind.
until the age of seven I believed that blind people could only see the colour yellow, and that is why guided tour paths in wildlife parks, zoos etc. were painted yellow, on the floor, thanks to the comments of a primary school teacher. I later worked out that blind people cant see anything regardless of colour.
when i was a kid i used to think that people saw things in different colours... what I call orange may be different than what you'd call orange.. maybe what I call orange you call blue.. This was my only explination as to why everyone's favourite colour wasnt purple: we just called the same colour different things.
I used to believe that my grandma took her eyes out every night and put them on the nightstand. In the morning she would put them back in. I was convinced because one morning I asked my mom if I needed to wake up grandma and she told me, ""Oh, she's awake, she's just putting in her eyes."
Apparently that phrase meant glasses.
I use to believe that everyone saw things differently, as in, if i saw something yellow someone else was seeing it in green.
I used to believe that people with brown eyes saw tree bark as brown and, since my eyes are grey/blue, tree trunks looked grey to me.
when i was little, I used to believe that your eyeball could pop like a water balloon, and i was always afraid to touch it.
I used to believe that people who wore glasses were blind and could only see when they had their glasses on.
People see in the color there eyes are. I have blue eyes, so of course I thought only people with blue eyes could see all colors.
I used to believe that newborn babies didnt open their eyes for a few weeks like kittens :)
When I was little my dad told me that if I make crosseyes, my eyes will freeze that way. Then I'd have to be shipped to an island with all the other crosseyed people, an they'd just dump me there and leave me forever. I wouldn't coss my eyes for years
When I was in kindergarten my teacher told us that if we sneezed with our eyes open they would come out of our head.
I used to believe cameras had eyes behind the lens. I believed this until I was 8 and my mom dropped her camera and broke it.
my sister used to believe that glasses were for blind people.
I used to think that the sleep in my eyes at the breakfast table were toast crumbs.
When I first overheard my brother talking about 20/20 vision I asked what it was and my mom said it's perfect vision. I thought this meant no matter how dark it was or even if your eyes were damaged you could see perfectly.
When I was little I thought that if you watched too much TV your pupils would turn into squares.. I used to weep everytime a movie was put on because I was convinced that if I watched the entire movie my eyes would become square.
