Re: Swallowing gum. My Mum just said that it stuck your insides together and then you'd die because you couldn't eat anymore.

my mum used to tell me that if I was to swallow chewing gum, it would wrap around the insides of my stomach and I would choke.

I used to believe if you swallowed chewing gum it would strangle your guts and kill you!

I was told not to swallow chewing gum as it would get wrapped around my heart and kill me ... so I swallowed it deliberately!
