When I was little like up until 6 my parents used to tell me that if I swallowed watermelon seeds that they would grow in my stomach. I swallowed one and didnt drink for like 2 days because i didnt want to water it.

When I was 4, I used to be a huge fan of the Nickelodeon show Rugrats. There's an episode were Angelica tells Chuckie that if he swallows a watermelon seed, it would grow inside him and he would blow up. This scared the crap out of me, so I stayed as far from watermelon as possible. Looking back I realize what a naive little girl I was!

Up until the age of six, I used to believe that if you ate a watermelon seed, the watermelon would grow inside you. Needless to say I convinced my mother to buy only seedless watermelons for quite some time. My sister, who is two years younger than me, believed this for some time too!

My parents once told me that if i ate the black seeds in watermelons, i would choke on them and i would be unconcious for hours until a watermelon grew in my throat and then they would have to take me to the hospital to they could cut my throat open and take the watermelon out...then the doctors would eat it...i accidentaly swallowed one once when i was about 6...i wouldnt stop crying. :)

When I was little, my mom and aunt used to tell me if I ate black watermelon seeds I would grow a flower on my head.
They also said the same thing to me when they found out I ate a sheet of paper. I was so scared.

I was eating a huge slice of watermelon when I was small and as I took a bite, lost my first loose tooth. I was so shocked about losing my tooth that I swallowed one of the big black seeds by accident. I told my dad and he said that I was going to grow a watermelon inside my tummy! I was so scared about how I would get it out too--whether I would have to have surgery or if I would have to poop out a big watermelon! I believed him for the longest time.
