i used to believe que era un mono y que me habian cortado la cola y rapado, cuando me enseņaban mi partida de nacimiento decia Bella Aurora y yo creia que era en la Aurora jajaja
I used the scar on my dads leg was a shark bite when in fact he fell off his bike when he was a child
During my childhood, I thought that the mother I was living with was not my real mom because she wasn't white. It wasn't until junior high that I learned about dominant and recessive genes, and realized my mom was my REAL mom.
My father told me that I was descended from royalty, and I used to think he grew up in a palace and was treated like a prince.
my cousin (7) had known for a long time what sex and pregnancy was. but not how the baby got out of the mother or that you had to have sex to get pregnant. she was told and she decided that since it was so disgusting making babies and so hurtful letting them out them she would just buy one at a orphanage.
When i was little i used to believe that if you wanted a grandmother , grandfather , uncle or aunt. you had to ask them if they wanted to be that for you
Once my father and I was on a fishingtrip, we didn't get any fish. But all around us there was small birds flying around. My father said that it was FLYING FISH! And I belived him...
Untill I was enganged and my boyfriend told me that we don't have flying fish in Norway. I didn't believe him, because my father had told me different!
But I had to admit that I was wrong, when I could not find anything about it in lexicons and other books...
i thought that my aunt lived in a pipe
My Dad and I used to tell my little brother that our Dad sprouted wings at night. And since I was only a teenager, mine weren't fully developed. And also, that he, himself, would one day sprout wings.
Our house at the time was weird. We had a second floor that my grandfather had built by himself. On on one side, there was the roof of the first floor. On the other side there was about 3 inches of roof that the gutter was attached to.
My brother believed us about the wings, but my Dad wanted to make sure. He couldn't stand on the side with the big portion of roof because then my little bro would figure it out. (He was gullible, not stupid). So in his infinite genius, my father climbed around the side and all along the back of the house on the 3 inch portion, all the way to his bedroom window, where my bro was hanging out with my stepmom.
he knocked, my little brother saw, flipped out, believed us even more. It was great. To this day my little brother swears he was just humoring us.
Sidenote: about 30 seconds after impressing my brother, my father fell 15-20 feet onto a stack of white plastic patio chairs.
I used to believe that I was supposed to be a boy. My mom had five kids: 3 boys in a row, me, then my younger brother. So I figured God made a mistake when he made me....Boy was I wrong!
I used to believe that if you stepped on a crack, you would REALLY break your mama's back. I finally let it go when I turned 10.
when i was young there was this poem at school they taught us for mothers day and it said that GOD couldnt be everywhere at the same time so he created mothers ,,,,,
since then i used to think that my mom wasnt my mom but god and everytime i looked at her i used to think wich part of god is she( his arm,leg...!)
i used to believe that your mum or dad's sister wasn't called your aunt until she was married. So i refused to call one of my mum's sister "aunt" until she got married when i was 8.
i used to think that my dad got my mom [mummy] from egypt.. when i was like 7
When I was little my father was very mean to me, but only in front of my family; no one else.
So I thought this was normal and that all fathers were this mean. I would be over at a friend's house and see my friend sit on her father's lap or hug him or he might give her a kiss or whatever and I would think, "She's pretty nice to be so easygoing with her dad" as I figured that as soon as I was out of earshot he would be insulting her and hitting her.
(I don't speak to him anymore)
One day, I became very afraid that my twin sister was actually a robot, and that she was going to come steal the soul of my beloved teddy bear, Biggie. I told her that, and I would not relent. She remembers that, to this day.
My grandfather used to sit me down and say, "watch this." Then he would pull and tug on his front teeth and let out a big grunt as he removed his upper dentures from his mouth. Then he would shake his head and say, "phew!" as if it had taken a lot of effort. Then he would carefully replace them and press them hard and grunt again. Then he would wipe his brow, sit down exhausted, then look at me and say, "O.K. , now you try! I think he must have gotten a lot of enjoyment in watching me try to pull out my upper teeth in one big bunch!
When I was five, I convinced myself that my brother and my parents were really aliens, and one day they would take their masks off and try to eat me.
When `i was like 4 my mum made a comment that my brother who was 5 was the "spon of satan" I then asked what this ment and was convinced for years that my brother was actually fathered by satan even telling my father that my mum had told me he wasn't my brothers dad but it was ok cos he was mine
When I was about 8 or so, I remember my dad watching those court shows with real cases. I came to the conclusion that ALL parents had to pay child support. So one day, my dad was saying out loud some of the bills he had to pay. I then asked "What about child support?" He looked at me confused, and said "What?" I was too embarrassed to say it again, so I just walked away.
