I believed that if you added yellow to green it became blue. I also believed that if you added even more yellow it would turn back to blue. I didn't realize this wasn't true until about 6 months ago
I used to think that if you had a notebook with a charecter on the front, you had to write about that charecter. (like if you had a winnie the pooh notebook, you had to write about winnie the pooh.)
When I was little, my father would take me out fishing. He use to tell me that if I talked, the fish could hear me and be scared away. To this day, when I go out fishing, I hardly say one word.
I played soccer in grade school and hated it. I asked my mother why I had to play to which she responded "it's the law." When I was about 14, one of my friends told me she had never played soccer when she was a kid. I asked her if her parents had gone to jail or just been given a fine. You can imagine the look of confusion on her face.
When I was around 3 my parents wanted to trick me into giving up my pacifier by planting them in the backyard so they would grow a pacifier tree. I planted them all and when I went back inside I fell to the ground and screamed " what did I do!!!" really nice parents
When a kid I thought people were calling a basketball backboard the blackboard. So I always called it the blackboard but it just didn't make sense to me. No one ever corrected me.

When I was 5 I used to think the goal in football meant that the ball touched the goalpost. I would play this method for a long time.
My friend and I used toy shovels to dig in the school soccer field, convinced we would find gold there. We did it during every recess.
Once I went fishing with some guy and his daughter, I think he was a friend of my parents or something... Anyway, a fish stole my bait without getting hooked and the guy said "Oh, you got mugged".
Later after that I heard about people getting mugged and I thought that fish took their bait while fishing.
When i was little, I always watched television with my dolls. I used to believe that the dolls can speak to my favorite cartoon. So, before i turned on my television, i cried in front of my dolls, i hoped ,my dolls could flatter my favorite cartoon to came to my house.

When I was about 4, my mother and I were shopping at Walmart when my eye caught a bag of Cotton in the Arts and Crafts section. I begged my mother to buy me this big bag of cotton, and she felt she could possibly use it in blanket or some other craft.
When we were loading the bags into van, I grabbed the bag of cotton and ripped it open, and quickly started putting the cotton in my mouth.
I was shocked and extremely disapointed to find out that it wasn't Cotton candy.
My mother gave me a strange look and I had lost my appetite for cotton candy.
When i was 6 my brother told me if i climb on a tree i will get cancer. So i told that to other kids in a neighborhood. He also told me if i ride a bike i will die. Bikes in our neighborhood also got very dusty ;)
When I was younger, I really loved this Loony Toons movie that had Michael Jordan in it. In the movie, the Loony Toons characters come together to form a basketball team. Lola Bunny was my favorite Loony Toon. So when I was little, I would steal my older brother's Bulls jersey and wear it around the house. I would ask 'Do i look like lola bunny?' and everyone would say 'No' but then i would scream because i thought i looked like her.
