My sister used to believe that if you weren't good all year, the Easter bunny would come and poo in the garden. She cried about this for a while.

When I was little, my mom told me that she saw the easter bunny's tail once, and after that I kept asking her questions about him as if she'd met a famous celebrity.

When I was a kid I used to believe that the Easter Bunny lived on the south pole, since Easter was spring and the south pole must be warmer than teh north (wrong in actuality..and it's fall in the southern hemisphere anyway in Easter!)
I also used to beleive that there was a special hotline that The Easter Bunny and Santa Claus shared to kell each other about what kids were good and which were bad.

When I was 10, my 15 year old sister told me that the Easter Bunny was really a murderer in a bunny suit. Then she told me that if the Easter eggs we decorated weren't up to snuff, he'd kill us all in our sleep. I stayed up all night the night before Easter and never participated in Easter egg decorating after that. It's been 6 years and I still don't.

My Dad when he was a child was convinced that the easter bunny lived in a tree outside his house, because the tree looked like it had a door on it. I guess he must have been mighty hungry for chocolate because he chopped away at the tree!

Until I was told the "truth", I used to believe that the easter bunny was 6ft tall because he could leave candy above the doorway...Never quite sunk in that my dad was 6ft too...

for easter my father would mow the lawn and gather the grass so we could make these giant easter nests on the front lawn. he told us unless we did this, the easter bunny wouldn't bring our easter baskets. easter morning, we would go out to the front lawn and our baskets would be in our nests, just as he said.

I used to believe that the Easter bunnies lived in the bush behind my house. My sister said if I ever forgot to feed them they would die and easter would never come.

I used to really, really believe in the Easter Bunny...until one Easter at church, they had an 'Easter Bunny' that you could get your picture taken with. I got my picture with the huge rabbit, then he gave me this big, purple candy-thing that you suck on (I was a small four-year-old at the time) and I was sucking on it and accidentaly swallowed it and it got stuck in my throat! My parents and other adults ran to help me...as well as the Easter Bunny, who promptly ripped of his costume head to help, too.
I don't think I've had a worse scare...!

When I was much younger, we had a poolhouse or what not by our city playground, and the Easter Bunny would make appearances there when Easter rolled around. After waiting for the bundle of joy, I skipped off to the bathroom to find the diassembled bunny costume folded by the bathroom. Convinced someone had skinned him, I then found out that it was a costume, I was tricked, so on and so forth. From then on, I never went to the poolhouse again, nor believed in the Easter Bunny.

when i was younger, my parents would make it look like the easter bunny had actually been there, they had put a foot print on the floor of a rabbit foot in mud and had a dish out where a carrot had been with dirty paw marks in it. i was certain that i had proof that it was real!

When I was little, I used to believe in the Easter bunny. I'm now 12 and I'm far from believing in him anymore. There were actually a few different times when I was younger that I almost stopped believing. Then there were a few times I was given clues as to if he was real or just myth.

For one time, when it was Easter morning, I was about 6 years old. I had always anticipated getting up early in the morning looking for the Easter basket that the "Easter bunny" had hidden the night before, so I got up at 6:00 and began the search. Searching for what seemed to me to be endless minutes, I finally found the Easter basket that I had anticipated so much, hung on a fan in the dining room. At six years old, it just doesn't really occur to you that often that if you want to look for your Easter basket, you have to look "up" sometimes. Then after stuffing myself with candy and Marshmallow Peeps, I went over to the small plate on the coffee table, carrots and lettuce stacked high on the dish. I thought to myself. "Why in the world didn't he eat the food I put out for him?
There's another clue there.

Another time I was going outside to look for my basket at the age of 7. Little did I know that there, on the ground out in front of me, was the most important clue of my inquiry as to whether the bunny was real or not. Fluffy, white cotton balls scattered around. "Is he shedding this time of the year?"

Yet another time, at the age of 10, the belief in the Easter bunny had met its end and started to fade away, to be long remembered in my mind. I stopped believing that year because I had not gotten all I wanted in my basket. But still, to this day, I enjoy painting Easter eggs with bright colors, and hosting Easter egg hunts for the younger kids, and let's just say that I made an agreement with my mom that the "Easter bunny" will still continue to visit our house and bring back the memories with those endless searches for the baskets, the long nights sleeping on Easter Eve, and the joy of discovering your Easter basket on early Easter morn.
