I used to believe in the early 1960s that the people on the TV screen lived inside the TV and I would go up to the TV really close and try to talk to them.
I used to think that every time a show came on tv, that the actors were inside my tv acting out the show.
I use to beliee that if someone got shot or lost a limb in a movie they actually did in real life.
i used to believe that if i had a bigger tv, it would allow me to see the sides of the set and what was going on behind the scenes, and also that if i broke the glass of the tv, that i would be able to jump inside and be in whereever the show was playing.. so i would actually chuck stuff at the tv hoping it would break so i could climb inside... i thought this was totally normal.
I used to believe that every time you watched a movie the actors had to be inside your TV acting it out live.
I used to think the people on tv were actually in my tv, like a puppet show. If the volume was too low, I would yell "turn it up!!" into the back of the tv.
I used to believe that millions of tiny people lived in TV and took turns to do their thing in front of a machine which would project them larger on the other side. One day, a TV mechanic ruined my day.
when i was younger i thought that the characters on shows were real people and that they didnt know they were being on a tv...i later found out that those ppl are called actors.
I used to believe that the people on tv lived inside of it. i thought that if i cut it open, then i could go play with them.
I tried to convince my mother numerous times to give me a butter knife so that i could go play with Barney.
When I was younger I used to think that people were actually killed in movies and shows; that they just used criminals that had the death sentence or sick people who were going to die anyways.
When I was 3/4 I LOVED Rafi! I had vhs tapes of him I would watch over and over. I remember once I said to my mom "mom did you know that tapes are just recordings and Rafi doesn't have to come back each time I watch this?!" I thought he was in my TV singing everytime I watched the table.
When I was somewhere between age 4-6 I believed that there are little men sitting inside every speaker that wait for someone to select a song and then play it.
When i was younger, whenever I wold watcha movie or show, I always thought that the actors were little tiny people inside my TV- they would put on a show just for me!
(the thing is, I am now considering going into acting!)
I used to believe that my cartoon characters lived inside the TV, and when my mom put the video tape in it was just their cue to start performing.
when I was small i used to think that there were really little people inside the television and other electronic devices that were making them work. I thought that they were kept as slaves inside there so i would talk to remotes and computors to try and help keep the little men working in them a little bit happier.
I used to believe, that people lived in the TV and that once you went in, you could never come out again, and also that our lives were one big TV show that giants watched and they could change channels and watch different families...
I used to believe that people got onto tv by shrinking and climbing through the plug and along the wire into the back.
I used to think that there were little people in the television who acted out whatever I was watching, and I would always watch to see if I could find any flaws or differences in things I had seen before.
when i was young i used to believe that the people on the tv were just tiny people inside the tv, and i remember watching a documentary about something in the desert and the voice over saying the animal in question was so dehydrated that it was close to death so i very quickly poured my glass of water into the gaps at the back of the tv in a desperate attempt to save it.... i didn't get to see if it worked or not :(
When I was younger and would see someone die in a movie or show, I thought that the actors would sacrifice their actual lives just for the role, and it use to make me cry every time.
