I used to believe that you can see the part that is not captured on the television screen if you tried hard enough to peek at the sides of your television.

I remeber I used to believe that if i turned the TV set off the programme I was watching would still be there waiting for me at the exact same spot when i was allowed to watch the TV again later, rather like a video/dvd today

I used to think when you turned the telly off the program just stopped. Therefore you could continue watching it later on by turning it back on!

One time when mom had dinner ready and she said to turn the TV off and come to the table, I remember thinking the TV would pause and I could come back to it later. (Way before Tivo!)

I was raised in a catholic family and started at a catholic school. I knew I went to a catholic school and other people went to a public school. One day I was watching a TV and the channel was called "NJN - Public TV" I turned it right away thinking that it would teach me things that were incorrect (i thought public and catholic schools taught things differently)!!!

When i was little, i always wondered where the laughing and cheering would come from when we watched a sitcom. So i believed that it was other people like me sitting at home and we could hear them laughing through our television sets. So i used to talk into the speaker on the tv and say things so that people "on the other side" could hear me.

When I was a kid of 5 or 6 I thought that the people performing on TV were performing live AND they were just waiting for me to turn the TV off so they could take a break.

i used to believe that if i was watching a cartoon on telly and went off for my dinner that when i came back and turned the telly back on the cartoon would carry on from where i had left it. the same applied for anything on telly.

Needless to say I wasn't the brightest child.

Like all other youngsters I loved to sit in front of the tv all day. My sister always said if I watch too much my brain would turn green

I used to turn off the TV to go take my nap, and I'd think that afterwards I could come back to watch the rest of my program where it had left off.

I used to believe that when I turned off the TV, whatever I was watching would "pause". When I came back and turned it on, I was disappointed to see it had kept going and was over.

I thought that little people crawled through the wires in the back of the TV...so that's how we could see them on TV.

I used to think that characters on television were people in a box and when you turned on the TV they would run up the cable cord and into the TV.

I used to believe that there were people in the TV that watched the shows and laughed at the funny parts, and thats why on some shows you can hear other people laughing (which i now know is the studio audience)
