I used to think that the begining theme song on shows was done live every time. And I always thought that the people probubly got really sick of doing the same thing EVERY day.

When I was little, there was a children's series called 'The Demon Headmaster', that was about a teacher that hypnotised the children with his eyes. When he took of his glasses, you could see his eyes going all green and swirly. I was terrified of getting hypnotised myself, through the TV screen, so I'd hide behind a cushion to protect myself from his mind controlling rays.

Everytime I saw Oscar the Grouch pull something out of his trashcan, I wanted to get inside of it. I knew it had to be huge, a trash can mansion, and I wanted to see what else he had.

My parents used to watch Dance Fever (70s show where couples would disco in fancy costumes and compete). I always wondered how the couples knew what moves to make. I thought they made it up as they go along. And if the lady jumped and the guy caught her, well he just happened to look at the right moment and catch her on time.

When I was little, I thought that "Beverly Hills 90210" and "Beverly Hill Billies" were the same show. In fact, I think I used to call them "Beverly Hill Billies 90210."

When I was young I never used to understand why the couple in Blind Date would go off and come back five minutes later having been on holiday looking completely different- sometimes with different hair colour or skin colour... (for those who don't watch the show of course it turned out they'd disappear behind the doors and the couple who were sent off the week before would come back and tell everyone how they got on!!!)

My parents never had a television, but occasionally I would go to my Grandparent's house and watch it there.
My Grandmother's favourite show was M*A*S*H, so that was the only thing we watched.
Until I was 8, I though the only thing on telly was Hawkeye, Radar and Hoolahan...

I used to watch I Dream of Jeanie and wonder how they got her hair to do that! I thought she must have tons of hair to do a ponytail with a braid wrapped around it!

I don't know why the concept of wigs and hair pieces was so difficult for me.

I used to believe that the TV show Leave it to Beaver took place in modern day instead of years ago. I couldn't understand why they wore such goofy clothes. And if the family lived in such a huge house, why did the two brothers share a bedroom? And why were they so afraid of their father? He didn't look scary to me, and he never yelled at them.

My parents used to watch the show "Dallas" and I watched it with them when I was bored. And due to the accents people have here, they hardly ever pronounce the "R" in anything, so I thought the character "Bobby" (or however his name is spelt) in Dallas was called Barbie.

I believed that the costumes on the original Star Trek had shortened pants because there was a cloth shortage in the 1960s.

When I was a kid my Grandpa and I would watch "The Lawrence Welk Show" on public television every Saturday night. For some reason, I thought the people who sang on that show just showed up there off of the street and were put on the show. I told everyone that I was going to go on that show when I "grew up".

when i was little i used to watch sesame street as everyone did but i was petrified of the cookie monster and big bird so much so that i would never let any doors or windows be unlocked in the whole house out of fear, needless to say it my parents got pretty annoyed with me when the tempreature was 40 degrees and i demanded all the windows to be closed.

Airwolf: I believed there really was a guy with a dog that looked up women's skirts flying a top-secret combat copter at mach-1 to protect us from the badguys.
The Dukes of Hazzard: I believed that an orange '69 Dodge Charger with a Rebel flag and "01" on the doors could fly and that cop cars were built to fall apart easily. I also believed that a scroungy mechanic could fix anything.
The A-Team: I believed that a little insanity could actually bend the rules of reality and make imaginary friend real (hey, it worked for Murdock!).
Knight Rider: That computers could fit inside cars and make them drive themselves, that black cars can fly, and that black paint can make anything bulletproof.
You Can't Do That On Television: I believed that it wasn't uncommon for parents to put their kids back in diapers (this was a fear exploited by my parents to ensure that I behaved, so's I wouldn't be made to wear diapers again).

I lived in Peru, South America, until I was 4 years old. Until that time I watched North American TV shows dubbed into Spanish. I always thought it was so strange that the people on TV could talk one way and move their lips a different way. I tried doing it...never could.

When I was little, I used to believe that Mr. Rogers was actually a monster and he would eat you if you weren't his neighbor. I always got freaked out because I didn't know where he lived.

I used to think all the kids on the Cosby Show were Bill Cosby's actual children. My wife set me straight when I was about 35. I'm so dumb sometimes.

I watched many years of TV series M*A*S*H* right up to the very last episode and had never heard of the Korean War. I thought the whole series was about Viet Nam War, because there were Asian people.

This is what happens when you have coaches teach high school history, and they just don't care.
