i used to think clowds came from the factories that had white smoke coming out
In my town we have a paper mill. The mill has smoke stacks to let of steam. Of course, this steam is fluffy and white so naturally I believed that this paper mill was the source of all clouds in the world.
I used to think that the smoke coming from the factories were actually making clouds
My dad works at a paper mill, so they have a giant steam-stack. Up until I was about 5 or 6, I thought that the steam-stack made clouds, because they looked like it. I was so dumb.
Up till I was like 10, I used to believe that the factories that I would go by, were the cloud makers of the town...
As a child I use to think that factory that billowed white smoke were making clouds.
I used to think that the oil refinery in my town was where clouds where made as they seemed to be constantly emerging from the smoke stacks.
When my three children were small, I told them that the cooling tower at the power plant was a cloud maker when they asked what it was by Lake Michigan that was spewing the large fluffy white condensation.
It warmed my heart to hear my daughter give the same explanation to my grandson and then several years later, him telling his much younger sister the same.
That the local power plant was where clouds were made
I used to believe that large industrial complexs were factories to manufacture clouds and that the chimney stacks were made so tall so the baby clouds could reach the sky.
Growing up we used to pass alot of factories. I was probably 5 when I announced to my parents...look that factory makes clouds. I saw the smoke coming out of the stacks. My parents never corrected me!!
my younger sister used to believe that smokestacks made the clouds in the sky...she actually believed this up until a few years ago and she is now going on 22.
I use to believe that the polution that comes from the mills were actually making clouds.
This actually was a belief of my brother's that when I was a kid, I thought was true. My dad works at a power plant, and my brother, in preschool said his daddy worked at a cloud factory. after hearing my parents say this story over and over I started to believe them.
I used to think that clouds came from the big factory downtown. When the clouds were dark, the factory was putting out more pollution.
My husband used to believe that smokestacks were cloud machines. It's just about the cutest thing I've ever heard.
On long car trips we would pass factories whose tall stacks continuously steamed and smoked. I was sure these were cloud factories!
I told my kids that the huge chimneys at the power station were cloud machines. Travelling past one day, the sky was blue and the first chimney wasn't smoking (strange coincidence?), but a few miles up the road and the sky began to cloud over. You guessed it, the second chimney was smoking. So, my little story became their belief, until I fessed up and told them the truth!
My lovely older brothers convinced me that the factories with the gross polution coming out of the chimneys were the "cloud-making" buildings and they make clouds and shoot them into the air. I would get really worried if I saw a chimney with no smoke coming out because I thought the clouds would not be able to be made and then the sun would fall down and crush me and my stuffed animals.
i live near a chemical plant with two cooling towers (which always have steam coming out of the top), and when i was younger i used to think that the purpose of the factory was to make clouds. i also thought that aeroplanes were responsible for making clouds.
