My dad told me wind was 'when the trees were sneezing'.
At the age of fifteen I nearly argued with a teacher at school when she started explaining how wind really works.
I used to believe that wind was created by the trees, that it came out of the ends of their branches.
I used to believe wind came from trees. And when it was really windy, the trees were really mad.
When I was a kid I didn't think that trees moved
_because_ of the wind, but that they made the wind move from one to the next. One tree would
_somehow_ start swaying, fanning the next tree,
and so on down the street, in a domino effect.
When I was very young I used to believe that trees created wind. It seemed only logical since they move when the wind blows.
when I was very young, I used to beleive that the leaves rustling in the trees made the wind blow
I used to believe that it was the trees that made the wind blow. I thought the wind would take me away if i was outside when it was blowing. One day I became so tired with all the wind that I told my father that he had to cut all the trees down.
I used to believe that trees made the wind, but its the wind that blew the trees!
I asked my dad where the wind came from, and he said it was because of the trees waving their branches.
Bastard.
The trees moving made the wind blow.
I thought the wind was caused by the trees. When it was windy, the trees where moving back and forth.. like our ocillating fan, plus the made the noise..like our fan. Made sense to me at the time, lol.
When I was young, I would see the trees sway in the wind. However, I thought that the trees acted like giant fans and caused the wind.
I used to believe that the trees made it windy.
When I was little I asked my mother what made the wind blow. She told me that the trees made the wind blow. Sure enough, whenever it is windy out side, I could see the trees waving their branches so that we could enjoy the breeze. As far as I know....she was right.
I used to believe that the trees made the wind.
I use to believe that the trees caused the wind to blow by swaying back and forth, like a chinese fan.
When I was a kid there were huge trees opposite our house. Unsurprisingly I thought that the wind was caused by the trees waving about!
When I was six or seven, I used to watch the tall cottonwood trees waving against the cloud filled sky. I thought the trees waving caused the wind to blow.
In agreement with an earlier post, I also thought that trees created the wind, and I used to beleive that it would never be windy where there were no trees around. I was soon to find out that I was wrong though!
When I was a little girl, I really disliked being out in the wind - I thought I would get blown away. And I especially hated being near trees, as I was convinced it was their waving about which was causing the wind in the first place. To this day, I'm still a bit nervous about going near trees when it's stormy!
