Well this is not mine! But one of my friends told her son that if the bell rings on the ice-cream van then it meant that he had no ice-cream! Can you imagine what he thought when he seen all the other kids getting some. He must be scared for life!!!

A friend of mine tells a great story about how when she was little her dad had told her that when the Ice cream van came round and rang his bell, that it meant that he had run out of ice cream. She belived this for quite a while apparently.

When i was little, my dad told me that when the music from the icecream truck was playing, it meant that they had run out. So everytime the truck came by playing the music, i would get upset because they always seemed to run out when they got to our house.

when i was a little ankle biter, in the summer when the ice cream van used to patrol around the neighbourhood it used to play the music, well whenever the music played my evil father used to tell me that that meant they had run out of ice cream, so everytime it came past it always played the music and i used to laugh at all the other kids run up to it thinking they'd be getting ice cream, it made me feel so clever, how wrong was i!
