when I was about 5 my uncle told me that the ice cream truck was from the orphanage comming to take me away. When I eventually realized that it wasn't the orphanage truck he told me they only played music when it was sold out of ice cream. I only dicovered the truth when I was in my teens.
As a child being told that when the icecream van comes round, if it playing music it means the man has run out of icecream !
