I was about 7 years old when i girl named mikelle biggs went missing and i guess she went to get ice cream and they only found her bike so I was convinced that if I got ice cream from an ice cream truck that I would disappear so I avoided them....until I was 14.

As a child I would get all worked up when we went to stores because I didn't quite understand the concept of change. For example, if we purchased something for $20 and gave the guy a $100 I would get all upset because we were actually giving the guy more than he needed. I knew we got change back but I guess it never really clicked for me.

When I was young, I thought that the hills in the road were caused by all the wrecked cars over the years being stacked underneath the road.

I used to believe that walking around the local streets in a certain order would bring me out at the seaside which was 70 miles away. Never did find the correct order...

If you drive through Texas, there are random little brick buildings along highways with big fans on the back and a chain link fence around them (still not sure what they are for, though).

When I was little, I asked my mom what one of those buildings were. She said, "That's where they take animals and put them to sleep."

It wasn't until I was **19** and driving past that same building that I noticed what the building said. Animal Shelter.

It just so happened to look exactly like every other little brown brick building on the side of the road with the fans that I had really initially asked about. I didn't realize they weren't the same until almost 3 years ago. Those buildings always scared me.

I always thought that roads with the "No Outlet" signs were roads where the houses had no electricity. I thought this until I was 8 or 9.

Thanks to her sister, my friend used to believe that it was only impolite to point at people with an ODD number of fingers. If you used an EVEN number, it was okay.

I used to think that joggers running through the streets without wearing a shirt or long pants were chasing after the robbers who had stolen their missing clothing. I was pretty concerned about the crime wave that hit our neighborhood every summer.

I went to Chuckee Cheeses when I was five with my mom and little sis and the man at the front stamped our hands. I asked why and mom explained we have to have the same stamp or we cant leave together. Well I was terrified of getting the wrong stamp and being left behind and I would cry so much when me and my sis got invited to parties there. I was sure we would never come home again.
