I've always ha d a little pop belly (I still do), all my friends had them too, so when I went off to school and us girls were playing house and we all pretended we were pregnant, it came as a shock when one girl lifted her shirt and she had a huge belly, and another was as flat as a board. After that I was stumped, "Why did these girls look different?" I came to a conclusion, they were other animals, not humans because humans all have pop bellies.

I used to think my uncle Richard was Desi Arnaz. Don't ask me why, because I have no freaking idea. But a couple of days ago I looked at him and thought, "Hey, he actually sort of looks like Desi Arnaz..."

I used to believe that people with hydrocephalus were called "waterheads" and the adults lived in the woods at Grant Park (Atlanta, GA) and if you drove out there after midnight and honked your car horn they'd all come running out of the woods and bite the tires off your car.

.... That was the story a neighbor kid told me and a group of other neighborhood kids. None of us believed her so she offered to prove it. She said a "waterhead" lived a couple of houses down from her so we all followed her to her house. We hid behind her mother's station wagon and waited. Soon a car pulled up and 2 people got out - a woman and a man with an enormous head. Why the fact that such a human condition as Hydrocephalus existed also confirmed her biazrre story of tire biting in our young little minds, I'll never know, but we believed it after that.

After going to a lot of Indian restaurants and being a huge fan of Indian food, I thought that everyone of Indian descent was born with a dot in the middle of their forehead.

I used to believe that when I was changing my clothes I had to keep my back covered somehow or get clothed really quickly or else the devil would come from behind me and kill me by stabbing me with a knife.

Ok when I was in Kidnergarten my mom wanted to get me to get my ears pierced and I was really excited about it! But a couple days before I was supposed to get my ears pierced a kid at school told me that when you got your ears pierced that blood squirted everywhere and that it hurt REALLY REALLY bad!! I was terrified!!! When I got home I told my mom I didn't want my ears pierced and why. She told me it didn't hurt but I told her, YEAH IT DOES!! I was convinced that if I got my ears pierced I would bleed to death!! I didn't stop believing that till I finally got my ears pierced when I was 11 years old!!

I had a strange idea of beauty when I was little. I believed people with curly hair were gorgeous and people with straight hair were ugly My friend and I had straight hair when we were very young, but as we got older my hair curled and her's didn't change. Therefore, one day I declared I was going to be a model and she couldn't because she was too ugly. Needless to say, we're not friends anymore.

I have a reddish birthmark on my left arm right at the crease of my elbow, about an inch in diameter. My mom told me when I was young that it was a scar, from when my uncle was holding me as a baby and smoking at the same time, and ashes from his cigarette fell on my arm and burned me. After a few years, my father was finally able to convince me that it was really just a birthmark, and that my mom was being silly.

Except she really -does- believe it is a burn mark, despite the fact that a burn that bad as a baby I would have had to have gone to the hospital for...
