random beliefs
I thought that socialism just meant being social and didn't get why anyone would be against it!
I thought that your parents designated random people to hold the titles of your grandparents, aunts and uncles and mine just so happened to choose their parents, brothers and sisters.
When I was little I somehow got the belief that if someone vomited they vomited the colour of their hair. Don't know where that idea came from
When i heard the word "tornado" i thought that people were saying "tomatoe" and when i saw houses flattened by "tomatoes" i thought that big pieces of tomatoes dropped down on peoples houses.
My grandfather was missing a finger, and he would often tell me that I bit it off as a child. I believed this for years.
My mom used to tell me that if I slept on more than one pillow, my neck would permanently bend forward.....until I looked like a hunchback.
I beleived up until I was about 15 that there were two words for forehead: forehead and forrid. I blame this on living in Essex.
When I was a child, I told my parents that I wanted a French poodle because I believed that it would bark in French.
Once when I was little I asked my grandma if I could go to the park at night.Since I was scared of monkeys she told me that there were monkeys that went to the park at night.
I was a kid in the 60's, and used to believe that, because male hippies had long hair, all female hippies must have short hair. I just thought the whole point of being a hippie was to be contrary.
