When i was little i used to believe that Peanuts were dried up potatoes. My mom told me otherwise when i was 10!
I used to believe that they filled peoples coffins with peas, hence the saying...Rest In Peas. I was in my teens when i found out that it really meant...peace

I used to believe that 'heavy metal' meant the musical instruments were literally heavier than usual because they were made of steel or something.
I used to believe black holes moved quickly through outer space, and if they got too close to Earth, they would wander around on the surface sucking people up.
When I was little, I thought a sweater outlet was where you took your sweater to get " let out" after you grew out of it so it would fit.
When I was about 6, I was convinced that I was a talking super hero cat called Tabitha. My Mum was so concerned that she took me to see a councilor.
I thought seeing red meant you if you were really mad your vision literally got a red tint to it. I figured I had just never got mad enough for it to happen
When i was in about 2nd grade i thought that since my parents were named Ann and Larry that everyone, when they got married, changed their name to be Ann and Larry.
My grandfather was rather portly and had the habit of eating dessert before his dinner instead of after. As a child, I thought that was the reason for my grandpa's large size.
