When i was young (i was in kindergarten) i thought that the teachers lived at the school and i thought that they changed in the bathrooms and they would sleep on our napping mats and then they would always be cranky and mean because the mats were uncomfortable.

i used to believe, probably like many other kids, that teachers lived at school. i thought during the summer, they just camped out at their desks. i was proved wrong when i saw my fifth grade teacher at the mall in victoria's secret..... buying a thong. i was never the same.

I used to think all my teachers slept at school. My father and mother had told me that the teachers loved their job so much it's like the never leave the school. Naturally being five years old I believed that.... also after my brother told me my kindergarten teacher was an alien... I was sure the school was a spaceship.... so I would kick and scream and beg not to go to school because "Mrs. Newsome is going to eat my face!!" then I learned that my Aunt was teacher and she set me straight she told me that A.My teacher wasn't an alien B. teachers have families (I replied with "So do they live in the school with her?") and C. the teachers have homes outside of school. I still think my kindergarten teacher is an alien... I blame my mother for watching SciFi channel while she was pregnant with me :p

I believed that teachers never left their classrooms. I belived the teachers room had pull out beds and they had actual food in the cafeterias that the teachers ate. I thought that there were secret buttons in the bathrooms that unveiled showers when you pressed it. I was wierd. I also believed that if you wanted to be a cafeteria cook, you had to take special classes on the art of ruining food. I brought from home, mind you.

I used to believe primary teachers slept in their cupboards in the classroom and ate their dinner in the school hall and that they would just sit in their cupboard all night until we came to school in the morning. I now know that it's not true as I am a primary teacher! LOL! Oh dear how naive!

I used to believe that all the teachers would sleep at school. I would see them all at school before me! To add to that, I also believed that there were secert pull-out beds for them to sleep on!

I was absolutely sure that teachers lived at school. One day, my friends and I leaned down to the ground and heard noises from under the floor. We deduced that it was our teacher's husband watching football and eating popcorn (very detailed, huh?). We told her that we knew her secret, expecting her to be amazed at our detective skills. She cracked up. Still, I refused to believe it until I visited my first grade teacher at her house. I felt like a retard.

I used to believe that teachers lived in school...like, they used the tables as beds and they went to the cafeteria to eat dinner, and their classroom was like their house. weird, i know.

When I was in Kindergarten in 1969, I thought my teacher slept in the cloak closet on the long benches. She always came out of the closet each morning to greet us.

When I was in grade school, my friend told me that at night, the teachers slept naked on our work tables. From that point on I was always disgusted when we had to do a project at the work tables.

When I was in first grade I use to believe that the teachers slept in the school. I was so sure that they lived there and that the closet where they kept their supplies was where they really kept their clothes. I also was convinced that the desk was really a bed...I'm so dumb..

I used to believe that teachers lived in the school and really just didn't have a life outside of school. And I thought that their "teacher name" (Mrs. So-and-So) was their name, I didn't think they had a first name.
