I used to think that a mans penis didn't actually have to enter a womans vagina for them to be "having sex." I didn't realize it was supposed to enter at all and when I found out I was really disgusted.

To avoid any awkward questions that my sister and I might have when we were little girls, my mom took us to the library and picked out this video called "Where Did I Come From" which was a kid-friendly cartoon movie about 45 minutes long. They never actually showed any naked parts or people having sex. They talked about the organs by covering them up with soap bubbles because the parents were taking a bath together. And sex looked like the bed moving and a bunch of kisses. The first time we watched it, all we could do was giggle because they were talking about "naughty things" and because there was this dog in the video that was just funny for no particular reason (and when a baby was born, while in the waiting room a kid got so excited he strangled the dog a little and it made a funny noise). Anyways, we really liked that movie for some reason and thought that we knew more than anyone else about sex and babies. I was so proud of my knowledge (i was about 6) that I told anyone who'd listen about it as best as I could. I didn't understand that it was wrong at the time and I got in trouble one day because I was telling my friends that "A man has something called a penis. Which is like saying peanuts without the 'T'." quoting the movie. Later in life I fainted when they talked about what really goes on durring child birth!

when my friend was younger, he used to think that men were supposed to like men, and women were supposed to like women. he went to his gay neighbor one day and asked him why he was the only "straight" one on his block and started talking about how his parents were weird because they were "gay".

I used to believe that when women had babies naturally, that they just push it out. I didnt know that they had to push through their twots, rather than their butts. I found this out about a week ago and im 19 yrs.
When I was little I used to think that it was perfectly normal for the woman to faint during sex, and that this happened all the time.
Don't know how I got that idea.

When I was about 6 or 7, my brother said "Barney is so gay!" so I asked my mother what it ment and she said happy. So, I went around and exclaimed to all my family members (ALL of them, it was some sort of reunion or get together) that I was gay. And I persisted, even when they told me to stop saying it. The really funny thing is, I had to do it again last year, when I was 17.

"Rape" meant that someone would force you to undress, and then steal your clothes, leaving you naked in a strange place. It was an especially cruel type of practical joke, causing great embarrassment.

As a young child, I never paid much attention to the news shows that were on television, but heard them in the background as my parents watched them. For the longest time I thought that Lesbians were a nationality. I suppose I mixed it up with either Libyans or Lebanese. Either way, it was a long time before I found out what a lesbian was.

When I was a kid my dad explained to me what prostitution was. He said it was when, "someone sells their body for sex", and I couldn't understand why anybody would chop off their limbs just so they could have sex.

I think I was about 10 when I discovered masturbation. This was in the mid-80's, and AIDS was a very big epidemic. I remember being concerned that if I ejaculated, I could possibly give myself a disease such as AIDS.

Before I was aware that not all sex is heterosexual, I wondered how a man could be raped. I had this weird mental image of a woman dancing seductively such that the man was totally mesmerised and couldn't help but have sex with her!

I'll never forget going on a bike-ride when I was about 10 and having my friend tell me that sex was when a man pees inside you. I can't express how happy I was to later learn that wasn't true. Well...sorta.

A boy I was seeing and I were fooling around in the back seat of his car. He wanted more and told me that if he wore a condom I'd still be a virgin. I laughed out loud (I had just gotten 100 on the biology regents)...I still don't know if he really believed that or if that was his line to get laid.

When I went to preschool, a girl in my class used to brag about having had sex. She also gave me and my friends all the details.
She said to have sex, a boy and a girl had to do six things (Sex is pronounced the same way as six in Norwegian). I can't remember all six things, but I think it included putting your finger in your partners butt, then licking it (growse!).
PS. I have never really found out if she did all those things with someone...
Never had sex this way...
When I was 9, I read an article that said 1 in 4 girls would get raped, so to stay safe, I always made sure I only hung out in groups of 3.
