My mom has a black and white picture of her and her two sisters in halloween costumes. I remember asking when she turned color. She looked confused, and I asked, "Then why are you not colored?" I was probably about six.

When I was little I used to watch a lot of old black and white movies on t.v,and i used to think that the world was black and white then (No colours AT ALL) , until around the 70s when colour came into the world and everything turned that way, thats why the movies are colour now! haha

I used to believe that before colour tv's were around, everything was black and white. When I looked in the tv guide and next to an old movie it would say "B&W" I would look outside and imagine that the trees were black and white. I asked mum if she liked it when colour was invented. She gave me a funny look, so I said "By the way, who invented colour?"

I had a friend who was looking through some old photos from the 40's and 50's with her mom. in a very profound sort of way she said, "Mom, what was it like when color came into the world?! It must have been amazing!" (she was about 12 at the time) Up until that time she had apparently been convinced that old photos and tv shows were in black and white because the entire world looked that way.
