I used to think the world was black and white a long time ago - because I saw it on television. I asked my father "what was the world like before there was color?" He looked back at me, puzzled, until he figured out what I meant.

The first time I left the United States and went to another continent, I imagined the world would be like that, but it turned out that I was wrong - sensation was the same here and over there.

when i was little, my dad and me always used to watch the 3 stogges, and all the oldie shows. well i always thought that in the old days, people and things were black and white, just like the shows! when i asked my parents, they all got a good laugh out that!

When I was a kid, about 3 or 4 in the early 1970's, I asked my mom when things turned colorful as I thought in the "olden times" everything was black and white just like the black & white shows I watched on TV. Talk about Pleasantville!!!

When I was really little (about 3, 4, or 5) my mum watched old television shows such as "Bewitched", "Dick van Dyke", "Mr. Ed", "I Love Lucy" and others.
And all of those programs from the past were all in black-and-white, so I just thought that back then, the world used to be in black-and-white instead of colour.

when i was like 5-6 yrs old i used to believe that the entire world was black and white in colour due to the old movies i had seen like the ones in the 40's or 50's.(i was born in 1986 colour tv was already there).i asked my mom about this and she just couldnt stop laughing for the entire day. stupid right?

From watching early TV shows, ie Honeymooners or old news reels, I actually thought the entire world itself use to be in black and white, and not until the 50's did everything come into color.
