I used to believe that there were little men that lived in the boxes on some street corners and they were there to change the street lights for the drivers.
When I was three; I firmly believed that elves lived inside the red lights, and that they had some sort of messaging system that told them to hold up a red/green/yellow ball up to the hold. It was a greatly amusing thing to think about at the age of three.
When I was little I used to think that there were little people who lived in the traffic lights, so I used to wave at them, thinking that they would change for us if we were nice.
I used to believe there were little knomes living in traffic lights changing the colors from red to yellow to green.
When I was a kid my dad could always tell when the traffic lights were going to change grees so I believed that there were monkeys inside traffic lights and that is what made them change
