When I was younger I used to believe that on the back of stoplights were monkeys pushing the buttons. I figured they just jumped from light to light and changed them from green to yellow to red. I'm not sure where this originated from in my mind...but Im happy to say I no longer believe that :)
I used to think that Mice controlled the Stop lights and crosswalk signs.
When I was little my dad told me that monkeys lived inside the stoplights. I used to picture them in there eating vanilla icecream (cuz that was my favorite ice cream at the time)
That little men lived in the traffic lights and that's how they changed at the right time.
When I was little I believed that the inside every stoplight there were a team of little men that worked to make the lights turn from color to color.
When I was little, I thought that each stoplight had three floors; one for each color. I envisioned gears of all sizes twisting and turning; staircases and ladders located on every floor; but the key element was these little, elf-like men the size of your finger. I thought of the men being short and a little scruffy kind of resembling Ernie; the advertising face for Keebler Fudge Striped Cookies. All the men on each floor worked together, every time the lights changed.
I used to believe that there were Hobbits inside traffic lights that changed the lights from green, to yellow, to red.
When I was a child, and I would ride with my Mom in the car a lot. To the doctors, to the grocery store, etc. When she would stop at a stop light, I would always wonder what was in the stop light box. I used to imagine little tiny men wearing chef hats (why the chef hats, I have no idea), would get into elevators and ride down to the green light and press a button makeing it turn green.
I also thought that when the light turned green and it was an arrow pointing up, that our car was going to magically go flying straight up into the air.
When I was like 4 I used to think there were little people in the stop lights that ran up and down stairs to turn on and off the red, yellow, and green lights. I beleived that for like, three years. Gawd I'm an idoit, lol
i used to think there were little people inside traffic lights that changed the light from red to yellow to green whenever a car stopped in front of the light.
When I was little and went on road trips, I would pass those electrical boxes on the side of the road, you know? They're grey and metal. Well, I used to think that to make the traffic lights change colours, little Keebler-elf like people would sit in there with a periscope and watch traffic, and when it would get busy, they would change the light from red to green.
When I was small, I thought that there was some sort of small creature that lived inside the traffic lights.he was the one that had to switch the lights on and off but he was alway trying to sleep so an alarm clock would go off to wake him up so he could change the lights
When I was little I used to believe that stoplights were controlled by tiny mice that lived inside the wires, and that if I forgot to "feed" the mice by throwing some air over my shoulder, they would die, but if I asked politely they would change the color of the light for me.
When I was a kid I used to think there was a little man inside the traffic lights that pushed a button to change the colors. I always thought that's what "little person" meant..
when i was about 5-8 i used to believe that oompa loompas lived in traffic lights and controlled the lights!!
I use to believe that there were mice in the stoplights controlling when they would change colors.
When I was a little kid, I thought that traffic lights were controlled by toucans (like Toucan Sam from Froot Loops). I thought that there was a toucan in each and every traffic light and that there was a candle set behind each color of the lights; red, yellow and green. So, the toucan would light the appropriate candle and blow out the other candle when the time came.
And those flashing lights... Or when a traffic light was broken and just the red light or just the yellow light would be flashing... Well, I thought that was because an evil Keebler Elf had made his way into the traffic light and was repeatedly blowing out the toucan's candles.
i used to think that traffic lights were controlled my little smurf kind people who used to live inside there. and if the light was really long it was because they forgot. they would shine there flashlights over colored see-through paper colored red green and yellow.
When I was younger, I used to believe that stoplights were controlled by gnomes that lived in the stoplights. They would use different colored flashlights and flick them on and off so that cars could go by.
when i was young, i used to believe that little elf men controlled the traffic lights, and when it seemed like you were waiting forever for the light to change to green, the men where on their lunch break.
When I was a kid . I believed there were men inside traffic lights who change the colors
