People on TV shows live inside the television

when i was young, i didnt understand the concept of film. i thought that every time you pressed play on a movie, a light went off somewhere to tell the actors someone wanted to watch the film, and that everything was live.

I used to believe that whenever someone was on TV they were being recorded in real time, right then and there, and transmitted to our homes over the air waves. So, when I was watching Back to the Future on one TV, and my mom was watching an interview with Michael J. Fox in the other room, it totally blew my mind. How could be in two places at once?!

When I was a kid I used to think the people on Sesame Street were really in my TV and if I broke the glass I could crawl in and join them and have fun. I never tried though.

When I was 10 (I'm 13 now.) I thought that the cartoon characters were living inside the tv and the comics characters living inside my bookcase. And in the middle of the night, they would get outside of the tv and bookcase and meet up. So when I was sleeping, I thought Jughead, Nester, and Firestar were probably causing mischeif in the house. I was a weird child, I know.

I used to think the people on the tv were real and didnt know that they were in tv. I was terrified they would find out and know that I was being so nosy in their lives. I also thought they would have to wait for a kid to grow all the way up to continue taping there lives. I was 3-5

Probably the weirdest thought I had when I was little was that really tiny people lived in VHS tapes and performed the show when you put them in the VCR.

I used to believe that if you broke the telivision screen then you could save all the tiny people living inside the tv. i remember one time at somebodys house that my mom was friends with, i actually took my shoe off and started breaking the tv so i could get a puppy that was on the show they were watching. oops. haha.
