People on TV shows live inside the television

I used to believe that people lived in the tv, so when they had boxing matches and if they missed and hit the tv, they would come through into our house

I used to believe that the people on TV were actually inside the TV playing out what I was watching.
One saturday morning, knowing that dad had stayed up late the night before watching, I decided I not to watch cartoons so that the people on TV could sleep in.

when i was young i used to believe that the people on the tv were just tiny people inside the tv, and i remember watching a documentary about something in the desert and the voice over saying the animal in question was so dehydrated that it was close to death so i very quickly poured my glass of water into the gaps at the back of the tv in a desperate attempt to save it.... i didn't get to see if it worked or not :(

when i was little i used to think that the actors lived inside the television. we used to have the old sets that were massive with doors built into them , and i was convinced that if only i found the key i could get in and meet all my favourites. my parents found me one day trying to get in with a screwdriver.

when I was really little, I used to think that there were people living inside the Tv (also people living in the record player but anyway...) and that was the reason my Mum wouldn't let me watch TV late at night because they'd all gone to bed and I'd wake them up

When I was 5 I used to think that there are real tiny people inside the TV. So I pushed it off the table and started looking among the pieces for them!

i used to believe that if i had a bigger tv, it would allow me to see the sides of the set and what was going on behind the scenes, and also that if i broke the glass of the tv, that i would be able to jump inside and be in whereever the show was playing.. so i would actually chuck stuff at the tv hoping it would break so i could climb inside... i thought this was totally normal.

TV had a great power over me. When I was about four years old a program featured a train coming down the track heading straight for me. When it appeared to be too close I jumped out of the way.

Another time I fell in love with the Old Gold cigarette girl who danced in the commercial. I thought about breaking the TV screen so I could jump in and join her. (Never tried it though.)_

Ate age 3 (in order to turn off the TV and go to sleep) my dad told me that the little people inside the box were "dead tired" and that I was being a bad boy for making them perform for me for so long...took me a while to watch TV without guilt.

One of my favourite shows as a very small child was the black and white 'Mickey Mouse Club' repeats that used to air around mid morning. My mother would busily attempt to get her housework out of the way while I was absored. I guess she didn't realise how absorbed I was. I somehow got the notion that the Mickey Mouse Club kids lived inside the television and if only I could smash the glass and get in there I could play with them.

Wish I could remember the look on my mother's face as she intercepted her toddler about to hurl the metallic broom stick through her prize colour television.

When I was little, I believed that the people on the news lived in the TV. So, one day when My mom and I came across one of the reporters I started crying because the tv was broken and all the people inside had come out.
