When is was little, i heard my mom talking about someone she knew, who had been raped. And i asked her what "Raped" is and she told me "Its when i man has sex (i knew what sex was) and the women doesnt want to. So sometime later (6 months to a year if i remember correctly)i was sitting next to my mom in the living room, playing with my toy cars, and the movie that was on, two people were kissing in bed, the lady and guy stopped kissing, the lady said "Yes, Yes" and just nodded, then they astarted kissing again and went to another scene. Well...I thought that the lady HAD! to say yes before the man and woman had sex, i believed this until my pre-teen age hehe :-)
For a short time between ignorance and fuller knowledge (I'd guess about 10 to 12, maybe younger), I knew that girls did not have penises. From there I concluded that boys had sex with girls by putting their penises into girls' asses. The confirmation of this theory was that girls had cute butts.
When I was about six, I asked my Mom where babies come from. She gave me a reasonably detailed explanation, including how sex works. Except she never explained that the guy's ... um ... penis has to be ... well ... erect. So I used to believe that sex involved trying to get an essentially flaccid and floppy object into a small space. Kind of like threading a needle!

Alright, I've been reading these and thinking I had *THE* most distorted notion of sex. Here goes:
When I was a tot, my parents were loud. Not average loud or exceptionally loud, but jet plane loud. Every word, breath, moan, grunt and bed squeak would echo through the house. Sometimes they'd get so entheusiastic they'd forget to close thier door, making it that much louder. So I'd wake up to a terrible racket and lay there, listening.
For some reason (and I have NO idea why) I was convinced that Dad was laying next to Mom, both naked, and he was somehow forcing her to make a dark, watery fluid come out of her "privates". (I didn't know exactly what a woman had "down there" at the time.) It was clearly painful and exhausting for her to make the fluid, which explained her screams and breathing.
His groans and noises were caused by him restraining her and forcing the fluid out.
I thought he collected this fluid in a shallow container and ran his hands through it, in the dark bedroom, feeling for something. Why? What exactly? Who knows?
Anyway, I'm perfectly normal now. Really. No psychological scars. Maybe the occasional uncontrollable twitching, but nothing you'd not expect.
Anyway...top that!
I belive upto my age of 15 that the sex is only hugging & kissing.
When I was little I used believe that if a male grown up sees a female grown up naked then she is raped.
When I was young I thought that when men and women had sex, it was somehow impossible for either not to have an orgasm, and that it was impossible for them not to have it at the same moment. I think I picked that idea up from watching too much tv and I now know better.
no one really ever told me what sex was and up until 8th grade i believed that when you have sex is when a man and a women would kiss together in bed just naked and nothing else whould be happening and that's how a women gets pregnant!!!!

When i was small, I thought that peeing for a boy was practice for having sex, and pooping for a woman was practice for giving birth.

when i was young, about 4-5, my friend that was a boy told me that having sex was taking off all your clothes and laying in bed kissing a boy. him and i would actually do that, not knowing any better. well one day, i was playing barbies by myself and making my barbies "have sex" (with them both naked and on top of eachother) and my mom came in and asked what i was doing. i told her that they were "sexing". she asked where i heard that from and i told her that brandon showed me how to.
I used to think that since gay men were the functional equivalents of women, they would go out with straight men. Same with lesbians and straight women.
I also used to think that "eating pussy" actually involved consuming the flesh of the woman's nether regions, and I was never too clear on whether it would grow back or not.
the first time i came - wonderful, indescribable, but scary... i told my
mom that my 'peenie' itched, and when i scratched it, pus came out.
after a couple questions i forget, she told me not to worry about it, it
was 'natural'. thanks mom.
WHEN I WAS A CHILD, I THOUGHT THAT DURING SEX, THE MAN HAS TO PUT HIS 'THING' INTO THE 'SPECIAL' BELLY BUTTON OF THE WOMAN, WHICH OPENS DURING SEX IN ORDER TO ACCEPT THE 'BIG THING'!
When I was little I used to believe that I knew what sex was...kissing someone!Untill I got 10 and my cousin reassured me that because I used the same glass that a boy had used, didn't mean I was pregnant!oops...

I always thought that when a man and woman wanted to 'make a baby', their nipples had to be aligned as well as their nether regions!!
I just couldn't figure out what you would do if you were smaller than your boyfriend/husband!!!!

A friend of mine, staying overnight, told me how he felt he was making progress with the sex thing. He said that his orgasm would last for half a second or so, but that he felt it was starting to take longer.
It turned out that he believed that he had to cum during the entire act of love!
He 14 then and went on to study biology.

Another kid once confidently told me that a couple had to have sex in order to have children only if they wanted their offspring to resemble them.
i used to believe your penis would grow if you masturbated

My older sister and I found my dad's secret stash of "girlie" magazines one day. One picture portrayed a man with his penis in the woman's mouth, while another portrayed a woman with her mouth on another woman's wet-looking lower extremities.
It was a long time before I realized that they weren't allowing other people to pee in their mouths. (Boy was I disgusted at first.)

I believed that married people had sex once (obviously) and the number of, er, thrusts, determined the number of children. The woman then had a certain number of conceived eggs inside her just waiting to be born.
Also, the first time I heard the word "rape", I misheard it as "rake". I understood it was something very unpleasant, but being attacked with a rake just seemed a bit obscure.
