When I was little, I asked my mom when a man and a woman can have sex. She said after they're wedding. (we're Christians) So I thought that they had sex after they're wedding, but before they're reception. So when all the guests we're leaving for the reception, the married couple would have sex and the priest that married them had to come and supporvise them, telling them what to do and when to do it.

For a long time, I didn't know that guys got erections, so I thought that during sex, their penis would still be pointing down. Because of that, I couldn't envision how people could have sex. I'd seen sex scenes in movies where the guy would be on top of the gal, but I came to the conclusion that people just did that for a little while before having sex, and then they'd get into a new position where they'd lie with their heads at opposite ends of the bed, and would both move their legs apart really far and scoot close enough so that they guy could get inside her. I thought it was this huge physical feat.

When I was younger, even though I just thought it was just kissing naked as portrayed in the movies, I was angered by the fact that my parents had sex--I was very disappointed in them and would cry every night knowing that they probably did it sometimes. Twice I begged them never to do it again and I tried to make them promise, but they wouldn't; they tried to explain to me that it was important for moms and dads to do that so they won't get divorced.

When I was around nine I shared a room with my older sister and my parents room was next door.I noticed that when we had gone to bed I could hear a lot of water running from my parents bathroom.Obviously they were brushing their teeth, ect but ny sister said it really meant they were having sex! The idea was that sex was so messy they kept having to leap up and wash their hands each time they touched the "nasty parts".When the water stopped, they were finished.I imagined them jumping up and running in the bathroom over and over ...

I used to think that adults were forced into a dungeon once a year to have sex; because when I was 7, I remember thinking that boys were so gross.

Another kid once confidently told me that a couple had to have sex in order to have children only if they wanted their offspring to resemble them.

When my mum had 'the talk' with me she explained everything well. But when my Dad came to have 'the talk' with my younger brother a few years later, he decided to take it a step further, explaining that when a man has sex it's like a volcano erupting. My poor brother! I'm not sure if it's put him off sex for life or not!

I guess I was about 10 or 11... anyway, whenever my best friend came over and spent the night she would make us watch pornographic movies late at night. I didn't know very much about sex at the time, so during the movies I would constantly get up and go to the bathroom, only to find out that it wouldn't come out. I finally told my friend, "Whenever we watch these movies I always have to go pee, but it doesn't come out". She replied by telling me that I was "getting horny". (This is strange because she was a year younger than me...)

That's not all. A few weeks later I had the urge to go to the bathroom, but nothing would come out. My mom was in the bathroom with me at the time, so I said "Mom, nothing's coming out. I must be horny". The look on her face was priceless... needless to say, she asked me where I heard that phrase and what I thought it meant, and she set me straight right there... (But she didn't know that me and my friend had watched those movies ;P)

When I was little I used to believe that There were Three ways to have sex. Fully clothed, partially clothed and completly naked...
Only certain people could have sex one of the ways but no other way and that the first time you attempted to have sex you would figure out which way you were.
I also believed that if you had sex differently than another person, you couldnt have sex with that particular person....

I thought women could only get pregnant if they were married, I think I actually believed this until I was about 10.
At about this time when some girls at school started telling me about what happened in sex, because their mums had told them about it, and my mum hadn't, I thought they were joking and asked if the two people had to be tied together with ropes or something to keep them in position because I could just not imagine how people's parts of the body could go together! I did not believe it for a long time, probably until I was about 12. I still feel silly about that question I asked the other girls and I think they thought I was pretty stupid.

i used to think that "making love" was two people getting naked & drawing a heart...if they decided they wanted a baby they would send thier heart to the stork.

At about 10 years old, I understood the concept of 'gay' people. I'd heard the word 'homosexual', and knew what it meant. However, I'd never encountered the word 'heterosexual' and thought it was another word for 'lesbian'. In school once, we were told that some of us might be homosexual and others heterosexual. I raised my hand and said: 'So, we'll all like people of the same gender?'

I used to believe that on standardized test where it as "M" for male and "F" for female you were supposed to indicate who you are supposed to have sex with. So, if you're a girl you mark that you have sex with boys and if you're a boy you have sex with girls. This was before I knew about gay sex, which would have been even more confusing.

One night when I was little I heard my parents making weird moaning noises since I couldn't sleep. I was convinced they were being attacked by a spider, for whatever reason.

Now I know good and well...

I used to believe that the number of children a married couple had was the number of times they had sex. A family with 12 children lived in our neighborhood so I thought their mother and father were very sexy.

As a 6 or 7 year old girl, my mom was showing me what my birth certificate looked like. I was really fascinated by it, until i saw the word SEX and an F right beside this. For some strange reason, I thought this meant my mom and dad had been graded F (fail) for sex. I'm just really glad I quickly learnt that sex also meant your gender...
