I used to believe the world was in black and white because of old movies and tv shows. I thought color was invented.
I believed the whole world used to be Black and white because old movies were black and white.
I used to believe that a long, long time ago, everything in the world was white and black and one day, God decided to color everything, and rainbows were his crayons.

When I was younger, I used to believe that because old television shows were broadcast in black and white, that the world had not yet discovered color.
I used to believe that color was an invention; roughly around 1955 or so. The world prior to the invention of color was black and white (of course). The rationale was that all old movies and television shows were in black and white, and therefore, color had not been invented yet.

my friend was told by his mum when he was little that the world was black and white in "the old days", and used to argue constantly with his mum that rainbows obviously hadn't just been invented, as he had seen them before. so that was how he won his arguments.

i used to believe that in these days when black and white films were made they didn't have color and that colors in general were invented lateron. i always felt sorry for all these people living in a world without colors.
I used to wonder why some movies were in black and white and while others were in color. I came up with the idea that the whole world had only recently develped color and prior to this, the whole world had existed in only black and white colors.
