I once asked my grandmother "What was it like to live in black and white? What about crayons?" She was confused at first, but then realized as I asked a black and white episode of I Love Lucy was on the tv. :)
I thought you could paint in color in the past, but everything else was in black and white except that. :) This lasted till I was 5.
My grandmother has a lot of black and white pictures in her house and so I believed that the world used to be black & white. We still say in our house: "Long ago when the world was black & white." Because of what I sayed when my gran told me a story of when she was small.
When I was a kid I was convinced that the entire world was in black and white, when my parents were young, and that someone along the way invented colour and painted the world with it. I suppose it came from seeing all the old photographs. My mom had quite a laugh when I told her.
I used to believe that before I was born the world was in black and white. I think this belief was fostered by the fact that the pictures I saw of myself were always in color, while the pictures I saw of my parents (taken before I was born) were always in black and white. Even during my early childhood the world was a dingy orange it seems:-) I still have a hard time picturing my parents as little kids "in color" ... they always come into my mind in black and white.
For years I always used to think that the world was actually black and white when black and white films were made!!!
I used to think that everything in 'the olden days' was black and white. Curse those old Hollywood films. Harold Lloyd has a lot to answer films.
I once thought that the world used to be black-and-white, before color was invented. This was evidenced by old black-and-white movies. My dad set me straight when he pointed out that dinosaurs were in color.
i used to believe the world used to be in black and white, because old movies and tv shows were in black and white.
I used to believe that color was a recent invention. When I saw old news films, they were always in black and white. Since news films from my day accurately showed the colors as they appeared I thought old news films captured things exactly as they appeared then.
I used to believe that people in that past really were black and white...like in those black and white pictures, you know?
I thought that the color portraits must have been science fiction back then.
When I was little I watched a lot of reruns of classic sitcom television. I Love Lucy, Andy Griffith, Leave It To Beaver, and Dennis The Menace were some of my favorites. Now, I knew that some things on TV were in black and white, and others in color. So, one day I asked my mom what it was like to live when there was no color. I thought there was a time in the world, when real life was in black and white. This in addition to trying to peek down below the TV screen to see the rest of the showering woman in the shampoo commercial.
After looking at my grandma's old photos, I firmly believed that the world used to be black and white. I thought that one day, a butterfly came along and spread colour through the world. I was about ten when my nan realised why i always refered to 'the black and white days' and explained to me that it was simply cameras that had been black and white...
in my childhood when i used to watch any black and white movie i used to think that the world used to be black and white in real and then later on GOD sent the colours ...:D
You know how old movies are in black and white? I used to believe that the whole world was black in white in the old days.
I used to watch old black and white tv shows and think that the everything in the world was black and white back then.
I used to believe that the world was actually black and white. (As it is on TV in old movies)
I used to believe that the world was black and white until technicolor came out. I was watching "Wizard of Oz" with my grandmother and I asked her what it was like living without color. oops
I used to think that the past was all in black and white, because of all the old photographs. Like my grandparents were all black and white and gray, and such. I believed that my mom used to be black and white too, until I saw her in colored pictures. Then she explained it to me, and I still think it would be cool if it were black and white. lol
I used to think that color wasn't invented until the 1970's. All our old family photos were in black and white and old tv shows were not in color, so I just assumed that there were no colors back then...
A primary school friend of mine used to believe that everything before the second world war was black and white because there was no colour news reel footage
