when i was about 5-9 i used to think that life wasnt real and that we humans were just acting out a story that some alien mom was reading to her kid, and then when we went to sleep, she stopped reading for a little bit, and if anyone found out, thats why they died.

I was an easily frightened child... I used to think that there were aliens that would come late at night (I had very clear images of these aliens, which glowed in the dark.) However, I believed that they would only hurt you if they saw you. So I always slept with everything under the covers, even when it was really hot out, till I was pretty old. On other occasions, later on, I thought that perhaps the aliens could get me no matter what. For this reason I never opened my eyes after I had all the lights off. Not cause this would protect me; just so I wouldn't see them when they were about to kill me; I wanted to pass peacefully, and why scare myself when there was nothing I could do?

After watching a show on UFO's one night, I was scared of Aliens coming to get me, and I was afraid they'd come with thier Spaceship and abduct me. So every night for about 2 years I stare out the window, dead scared of A UFO landing, untill one nightI figured out I could close the shudders. Man, I was stupid!
Stupid When I was a Child.
When I was in year three (that's propably 4th grade to you americans :> )I was in my bed thinking about aliens (because my freind said they were from japan or something???) when the washing machine went off and I ran downstairs convinced it was an spaceship flying close to my window,and half opened the front door but I saw nothing ,by now I was completly convinced it turned invisible, so I ran to the living room and pleaded that my dad guard my room until I go to sleep.

When we were younger my cousin had me convinced that he came from a toothbrush planet and could change into a toothbrush at wiil. He explained that boys were blue toothbrushes and girls were pink. He made me swear never to tell anyone or he'd be taken back to his 'home planet!'

When I was about 5 years old, my cousin and I used to tell people that we were half "martians" and every year on our birthday they came and picked us up in the spaceship to take us to our "mars-parties" and we were gone for a month but to the "earthlings" it was only 1 day.

I used to believe that People who had wigs were aliens in disguse and once I went up to one and took off his wig to see if he had a green head underneath. Of course he didn't but I still go a clip round the ear!

When I was young, I believed that if I shined a high powered flashlight, like a MagLite, into the night sky, that I could signal UFOs and communicate. I would flash the light on and off into the sky, and think my message to the aliens, figuring that my blinking was translating my thoughts to a code the aliens would understand. My communications were generally invitations to come visit me.

I used to believe that everybody around me were aliens in human guise and that they were conspiring to take me with them, and "alienate" (in that other sense) me. I also thought they could read my mind, so I tried to blank my mind whenever I saw anyone staring at me suspiciously. And yeah, that included my parents and my big brother.

When I was little I was watching Unsolved Mysteries and they did a show about aliens and Roswell. It scared me so much I was up all night crying because I thought aliens would kill us all. I was terrified of aliens for a long time after that. I couldn't watch Unsolved Mysteries for a long time either.
