When I was younger, somehow I got it into my head that in every abandoned box by the side of the road, where little kittens. I don't know where this belief came from, but I am in my mid-20's and for a moment, everytime I see a box on the side of the road, I wonder if there are kittens in it!
I used to be have a cat called 'Dusky' that would always come into my bed and annoy me by trying to rub against my face while I was trying to sleep. I used to hate that cat so much I ended up having nightmares about it and had really bad sleeps because of it. In my dreams I believed it was a demon cat that was trying to kill me by lack of sleep.
I used to think that the atmeal goat was after me. I never did learn who he was.
I had a dream when I was younger that a caged bird rested behind my bed. Every time I went to sleep, it would come out and float above me. I didn't know it was a dream at the time, so I always put a bunch of pillows against the wall to keep the bird from getting me again.
My grandmother used to hang small, decorative animals from her flowerpots. I believed these animals to have all died while on a long journey to get to the plant.

So sure enough, I grew up certain that cats could speak.
I used to believe I was a kitten. Simply because we had alot of cats aka "my mom's babies", so I thought since our cats were her babies, I must have been a cat, too. I realized that I wasnt, when finding out that I didn't like the taste of the food, that was set out for my "brothers and sisters".
I used to believe that every species of animal had it's own language and was just as intelligent as humans. I also used to believe that fish got into an isolated pond via evolution from pond scum
I was told that I use to talk to animals and have full on conversations with them. Mum was always gobsmacked when she walked out the front of the house and saw 4 neighborhood dogs sitting in front of me "talking" to me.
I stopped "talking to animals" at nine so I still remember conversations we had... Mostly the dogs use to talk about where the best food is and where to lie best in the sun... I'm not crazy I swear!

I used to believe that there was a dead body buried in my back yard because our dog would always run to the same spot and back every day when we let her out. She ran in the same place every day so much that the grass started to make a little path. I seriously thought it was because she could smell a dead body.
when i was rather young i knew that birds didn't fly just by moving their wings rapidly up and down but that they moved them in a certain way. i figured that if i could somehow master how they did it, then i would be able to fly too!
I believed that when sheep got sheered they would put their wool in an asda plastic bag, put it behind the couch and save it for when they needed it again!!
when i was very young my Mum would tell me that humans came from monkeys. I used to think that she meant we were born as monkeys, and grew into humans over the course of our lifetime.
