I used to think that claws were only for cats, while dogs just had paws. I also thought that dogs only had round ears, and cats only had triangular ears.

So, we had a dog named Rodin when I was a kid, and he was doing well until he got cancer. The only reason I didn’t kiss him goodbye before he was put down, was because I though cancer was contagious and didn’t want to contract it.

I had the IQ of a toothbrush. 😞

When I was very little, we had a pomeranian and a cat. I used to think that if you put your finger in a dog or cat's ear, a little dog or cat's head would grow on the tip of your finger.

My father used to bathe our dog in the bathtub. When it was time for me to take a bath, he would tell me not to stay in the tub too long because I might get pregnant with puppies. Yep, as a child I believed him.

I used to believe that all cats were girls and all dogs were boys. I wasn't quite too sure where kittens and puppies came from. Did Santa make them?

When I was 2 I was on a city bus with my mother. There was a seeing eye dog who came on with a blind person. I loved animals so this was very exciting for me. I then proceeded to ask my mother if that doggy had a "skin mommy" or a "fur mommy". She managed to keep a straight face while she explained to me that that doggy had a fur mommy, just like I had a skin mommy and that fur mommies give birth to fur babies while skin mommies give birth to skin babies. That cleared up any issues I had with the matter and I was satisfied.
