When I was little I used to love having a bath, and would quite happily spend hours in there. Obviously fed up of this my mum told me that when my fingers wrinkled up, it meant I had to get out of the bath straight away. I accepted this without question.

I completely believed this until I was (shamefully) about 14 when my mum questioned why I had taken such a quick bath. My reply was "my hands were wrinkled..."

oh how she laughed...

Ever read Roald Dahl's "Dirty Beasts"? As a kid I was terrified of Sting-a-Ling, the scorpion that hid in your bed and then stung you on the bum. I would lie there rigid waiting for the sting...!

when i was little(4-5) i didn't wanna taka a shower cuz it seemed so big and i believed that it will crush me and eat me XD

One time our house was robbed, and my birth certificate was stolen. As a result, I believed that the Hamburgler was going to come through the window at night and steal my birth. The only protection was to make a nest out of blankets and have my hair in a braid. If I did that, the Hamburgler wouldn't bother me.

I was nice enough to perform this little service for my sister, too, while she was too young to braid her own hair.

I used to believe that a dead cow lived in my closet. The cow could come to life at night and was a glow-in-the-dark cow. I was absolutely terrified that some night it would come out of my closet and get me.
i really don't know where the heck this belief came from.

I and my cousins were convinced that blind old people lived in our basement because one of my cousin's friends had told her so. We thought they were somewhere behind the walls. We were so scared to go downstairs, but we used to go anyway, and we really thought we could hear them chatter or whistle putting our ears on the wall. The power of autosuggestion...lol

i used to believe that if i looked under my bed or in my closet the monster would come and take me into his relm.

When I was younger I used to think that when people moved (to a new house), both homeowners just switched houses with each other.

When I was around 4 or 5, I had just learned how to take a shower. To help me feel more comfortable doing it on my own, my parents got a plastic cover for the shower head in the shape of a clown's face. He was smiling widely, and the water came through his open mouth.

It terrified me. I was convinced that it was alive and watching me, and if I took my eyes off of it for one second, it would seize the opportunity to attack. I remember groping blindly for shampoo and soap because I knew I could not look away if I wanted to escape the shower.

The wallpaper in my room as a child had scenes of alittle boy & alittle girl in a garden. The girl was using a hoe & the boy was pushing a wheelbarrow. During the day they were stationary, but at night they moved about doing their chores. I thought everyone's wallpaper did this!

When I was about 4 we had a bathtub w/ feet. I would never ever go into that bathroom b/c I didn't want the tub to have any opportunity to chase me around.

You know, when you're little, you believe in monsters under thhe bed and all that. Not me. I believed that there was a ghost that looked exactly like Homer Simpson in my bathroom. I was always in and out really quickly, so it didn't 'get me'.

I've grown up watching scary movies. And since I was a kid whether it was the bathroom, in my closet.. outside the window that there was someone waiting to kill me. Sad thing Im 19 and still get terrifide. Ha!

This is kind of embarrassing because this happened not too long ago. (I'm 16!) I was at my aunt's house, and while browsing the fridge, I noticed the little light in there. The light in my fridge doesn't work anymore, but even when it did, I don't think I ever saw it.

I thought "its in the fridge, so it must be cold," and decided to touch it.

It wasn't cold. :x

When I was young I believed there was a zombie in my bathroom and when I heard the taps dripping at night I thought zombie was eating someone.

I used to believe that there were spiders under my bed and if i went too close to my bed they would attack my feet. So i always did a run-up-and-jump onto my bed, its pretty funny when u think about it.

I once beleived that in bed at night (I was afraid of the dark) there was a glass sheild over your bed to protect you from all the scary monsters/ghosts. I also believed that there really WAS a monster under my bed, and any body parts that went over the edge of the bed would be eaten by the monster.
