I used to believe…
everytime i walked in the bathroom when i was little i used to think a monster was hiding behind the shower curtain thats why i used to be scared to take a shower!
Well I have 3 boy cousins, and whenever my best friend was at my house, we would run in my closet and jump ontop of all the stuffed animals in there. So when I jumped ontop of them I thought I was hurting my stuffed animals and I would complain to my friend that we were hurting them and she'd keep telling me to shut up.
I used to believe that there were popcorn balls under my bed because I thought that they were the same thing as moth balls. So one night, I crawled under my bed and got out the box of them and crawled out. I was about to put one in my mouth when my mom came in and took them away.
I had a horrible fear of vomit when I was little (sadly, 20 years later, I still do) and I HATED sleeping on the top bunk because I was afraid there was going to be burritos filled with vomit sitting on the rungs of the ladder, and if for whatever reason I had to get down before morning, I was going to have to dodge them with my feet.
Don't ask me where I came up with that as a kid, but I just knew the vomit burritos were waiting for me. I didn't even dare to look!
My grandmother always lost her purse and her keys,so she would say "Oh those darn elves took my keys!" So whenever I lost something I would cry because I thought elves were stealing my stuff.
I used to belive that imprints of past experiences were visible on the walls of my grandparents upstairs apartment where we used to live. for example, plane crash victims faces could be seen in the cracks of the wall because maybe a plane crashed right where my grandparents house was now standing.
I used to think that their was a HUGE tarantula hiding in the furthest room in our basement, and so when I would turn around to go back upstairs, I always ran top-speed, looking behind me frantically to see if it was there.

I used to believe that my clothes just kept shrinking and that's why every year, my mom would have to buy me new clothes. What a mysterious world this is!
I used to believe that when I was asleep, "Mirror people" (compliments of my Aunt...) came out and raided my stash of candy...So, I stayed up for a while night, sitting in the dark waiting for the monsterous Mirror People to come flocking in. After my door opened, I found out that it was actually my cousin getting into my Halloween stash...
When I was little, I believed that there was a whole other world inside the mirror, but it was exactly like the one we lived in.
Everytime I left a mirror, I'd say goodbye to the person in the mirror who looked like me and wished them a nice day.
I used to believe that every time I use the bath room at school, the teacher puts on the tv and there's a camera in the bathroom because every time I can back from the bathroom everyone stared at me! That was a few years back though :D
when i was younger i used to think that when you flushed the toilet, if you wern't downstairs or in bed or doing whatever you were doing before using it before the sound of the flushing stopped, the sound would drag you back to the toilet in slow motion and you'd get sucked into the sewers with everyone else that hadn't been fast enough.
When I was little I used to go on an adventure every morning by sliding down my bed underneath the covers and getting out at the foot rather than the side. So many times I felt mortal fear as I thought the bed would keep going and going and suck me up forever.
when i was little i watched movie chuckie (the killer doll) and i strongly beleived wheni went to bed and my feet were hanging off the bed he would come and chop them off so i couldnt run away. so i used to never let any body part hang off my bed.
When I was four, I used to think that the light inside a refrigerator would stay on even when the door was closed. One day my parents were cleaning out the fridge and left it completely empty, so I stood inside and closed the door. The light went off. So I got out and never did that again.
I used to believe that my bathroom housed monsters so I never went to the restroom after my mom fell asleep (resulting in a bad wetting the bed problem) and the few times I would go in there by myself i would bring a pan and threaten them with it. To this day I am still afraid of the bathroom!
I believed that if I touched the gray "snooze" button on my parent's alarm clock that I would become a girl. I believed this because when I was about 4 years old I had asked my mom what the button was for, and that was the explanation she gave me. I was afraid to go near it for years.
