Water is in the walls, that's where it comes from, and if you put a hole in the wall, it will rush out and drown you. I think I got this from an episode of Incredible Hulk where they were stuck underground and water was filling up the room. Also, from Amityville Horror (I didn't know it was blood). My dad was about to drill a hole in the wall and I started crying and begging him not to do it because we would drown!
i used to believe that if you went in the bathroom for more then 5 minutes you
will be eatin my the toilet even if you are takeing a bath i
would only go in there for like 16 seconds and wash my hair
and everything it was hard i believe it till i was like 12 years old.
I used to strongly suspect that every mirror was actually a tw-way mirror. This was easy to check at home, and I was pretty sure the house bathroom was okay since it faced an outside wall, and I checked closely to make sure there weren't any holes or anything like that.
Public restrooms on the other hand...
When I was about 9 years old I used to be afraid of the shower if I wasn't in it. I used to think that a dead person would be in there if te curtain wasn't open..
I used to be scared of the noise from the toilet. I would use the toilet, wash my hands, flush...then run!! LOL
When we went to our family friend's house when I was little, my brother and their son would try to keep me out of his room, so they told me that there was a monkey in the closet. For some odd reason, this relly terrified me and whenever I would go in there they would open the closet and pretend to reach for something and say they were getting the monkey. I would cry.

when i was little i used to that a singing monster was hiding in my shower so every time i went to the restroom i would sing to scare him away
Whe i was rele lil, i used to think lotion was oceans. I really believed that mermaids took small bits of the ocean and turned it into this creamy stuff that smelled really gud, and put it in a bottle. all for you to have soft skin. i believed this til i was in the seventh grade.... i still get teased for this, and ppl think im way to blond. :]
When I was 6, I was terrified of flushing the toilet at night.
When I had to pee at night, I would leave the door wide open after I was finished with my business and dashed out the door the second I would flush and hide under the covers till it was over.
I really don't know why.
i used to believe that if you left your door open when you slept at night, ninjas would come in and attack you. i have no idea where it came from, but i managed to convince my sister and my best friend that it was true. for about three months we would spend at least a half an hour before we went to bed practicing kicks and punches in case the ninjas managed to open the door.
I used to believe that the gurggling noise the bath drain makes after u pull out the plug was a monster trying to suck you in so i always made sure i was out of the bath before pulling the plug and blocked my ears or ran out of the bathroom

i believed that when you finished taking a shower and you opened the shower curtain a velociraptor would be right there to eat you.
I used to believe that 'Give Way' signs on the road meant that you were near somewhere to buy presents to 'Give' a'Way' to people.
I alsothought a witch lived in the sewers and when I flushed the toilet she would come running out of the bathroom after me!! I used to run like the clappers!!
i used to believe that there was evil little people under my bed and everytime i would get out they would shoot at my feet with little canons, or tie me down and take me away, so every time i got u i`d stand on my bed and jump as far as i could and run out of my room
My friend's basement had loose shelves and if things weren’t on straight they would fall and crash. This is the reason we weren’t allowed in his basement as kids but no matter what his mom told him he was convinced that his dad had "untrained pokemon" down there and they were dangerous.
I don't think this is very unusual cause I know lots of other people used to do this but I used to believe that there was a monster under my bed that would grab my feet when I got on and off the bed... so I used to run and jump onto my bed and then when I had to get off I'd make sure to leap far away from the bed.
To keep us out of the unfinished basement my grandfather told us kids that there were crocodiles living down there.
At my grandma’s basement there was a hold in the middle of the floor to sweep dirt and water into after a storm. It was shallow and covered with a piece of wood. For years I thought it was a portal to Hell or a grave.
I used to believe that I had a twin who was imprisoned in my mirror, because she was bad.
I used to fight with her (er..me) all the time; I thought she was mocking me.
this is a true belief that my cousin and i had whene we were about 5 or 6, my grandmother had a trap door in her closet ans my cousin and i asked her what it was for she told us thet it was the door to the devil and if we wernt good hed come out and get us...so my cousin and i spent many hours daring each other to open it, one day we smelled something coming from the door we started getting scared and rab to our grandma telling her the devil was cooking someone, she knowing better relized that something was inded burning and relized she was burning the chicken soup she was making us for lunch nevertheless my cousin and i stayed very far away fron the closet the bedroom and that side of the house untill they finally moved
