i used to be scared of under my bed and thought that my cat became a monster only at night.
I used to believe that something or someone was under my bed ready to grad me if I let any body part hang over the edge while in bed. I still, as a mother of three, can't put my foot under the bed when I make it or let an arm or leg hang out at night!
ok when i was younger i had though there was a person that lived in the shower. the person was a guy but he was invisible. at first i was really scared of him b\c i always thought he would come out and kill me. later on i started talking to him while i was in there like he was a good friend. my brother loved scary movies but not as much as i did. we had watched a very scary movie then i stared thinking that he would kill me again i hated going in the bathroom unless i opened the shower curtain. i did that in my grandmas house and every ones house i went to.

When I was really little, my parents had our entire living room decorated in Elvis Presley memorbilia. I used to be so afraid of the eyes in all the pictures of Elvis, that my parents had to go around to the all their huge pictures and tape tissue paper over his eyes so that I wouldn't be afraid. People used to come to our house and ask "Why are Elvis' eyes covered??"

I used to believe that take a shower meant to go steal a shower from the store
I used to believe that if you are in the bathtub while the water's draining, you get sucked in, logical isn't it? I also believed there was a armadillo under the drain
I used to believe that if I didn't close my closet door every night the closet monsters would try to jump under my bed the minute I shut my eyes. Then while they were under my bed I would think they were plotting to kill me and then eat me after I fell asleep. Now its just a habit to make sure my closet door is closed.
when I was little there was a monster (, hairy, and green with glowing red eyes and spikes down is back and arms about two feet tall ) who lived under my bed his name was zozone he used to play cards with me at night.
I saw a Pippi Longstocking movie as a small child, a few days later I woke up with a big THUD I thought that Pippi had been under my bed and had picked it up and then dropped it. I guess I just rooled over and got some air time, (unless I was levitating ;) )
When I was young, there was a stairwell outside my grandparent's house that led to the basement. Since the door in the basement was behind a refridgerator, we never knew where it went. My cousin told me that it actually led to the kingdom of the rats, and if I went down too many steps, the rat people would kidnap me and take me to the rat king. To this day I will not go down that stairwell.
When I was young I thought everything in the bathroom was alive. The sink, toilet......everything. I was so scared that one day something would decide to speak to me that I talked to the things the whole time. I believed the things were polite and had good manners. They would never interrupt me if I were speaking so I never shut up. My parents say they thought all the bathroom furnishings were my friends. If they only knew....
When I was 4 or 5, I didn't know what the little door in the wall of the basement was for (plumbing access for a wet bar). My older brothers told me there were scary rabid monkeys living in there. It kept me out of their room when they weren't there
when i was around 7 yrs old, my father was vacuuming and found a straw sticking out of an electric outlet. My father told us that whoever (me or my 2 younger sisters) did it must tell him immediately so he could rush them to the hospital before their hair fell out. I started crying profusely... and my father assumed I had stuck the straw in the outlet. As he dragged me to my room, i yelled... " i didn't do it" and he asked "then why are you crying?". I screamed at the top of my lungs.... " I DON'T WANT A BALD SISTER!!!!"
When i was young (around 5) i would always feel cold when comeing out of the shower. I always had wondered why so the most logical explination was that there was a cold monster hideing behind the shower door and when i would open the door too fast he would wake up and breath on me. I later leared that it was just the Air Conditioning vent and if i opened the door too far the cold air would come right to me
I used to share a bunk bed with my older sister, and we would always fight for the top bunk. One day my sister told me that the heaviest person was supposed to sleep on the top. She showed me the warning tag that was attached to the frame, knowing I couldn't read, and started making up what it said. For years after, I would tell all my friends about how the heavier one of us had to sleep on top, instead of bottom.
I used to believe that under the bathtub drain were little green army men toys that made the sewers work, and I was afraid that one day they would jump out of the drain and talk to me.
I was always scared of the noise that the bath drain made when the water was draining out and believed that it would suck anyone in the room into the drain so I would run out of the bathroom screaming as soon as the plug was removed! I also would never like to be in the bath when the tap was on filling it up, and hated when there were bath toys floating in the water...i was a weird child
