When I was younger, I used to think that if the vaccuum was strong enough to pick up Barbie Doll shoes off the floor, I too could be sucked up.

I used to believe that baby oil came from squeezing babies
I used to believe that "head and shoulders" was shampoo and shower cream in one... it was so much easier!
i saw a movie once that had a man dressed all in white (kinda like the Glad man) standing outside a bathroom window, peering at a woman while she showered. Yo... I couldn't take showers for the looooooongest time. I mean, I took baths instead!
When i was little, i for some reason believed my furnace provided heat for the entire neighborhood. So one morning i decided to make cookies. I made cookie dough, pored it into the ventilation duct hoping it would go down, get cooked and then be sent to peoples house by the warm air. This was when my parents stoped loving me.
Haha, im 16 now, and i only found out my beleif wasnt true today !!! :( Ive always thought that if you shone a tourch onto a light bulb it would light up, and i always used to say i would test it out but i always forgot, but i havent thought about it in years, so today i was sitin on my bed and i decided i would try, only to be dissapointed when the lightbulb stayed off :( xx
I used to belief that the monsters under the bed would eat me if any part of my body, except for my head, poked out from under the blanket. It was terrifying when I needed to turn the bedside lamp on, I had to do it quickly or the monsters would get me. But as soon as the light was on the monsters would disappear.
I used to think that if you looked in the bathroom mirror when the light was turned off, a huge zombie/devil/ghoul/Britney Spears would jump out and eat you alive. This led to my insistence that my unfortunate parents sit outside the bathroom every time I went, just in case there was a blackout.

I used to belive that cobweb came on houses when thay got old.
When I was seven, I used to think that, if I ran from the door which was next to my light switch and jumped on top of my bed as quickly as possible, then the monsters that lived under the bed wouldn't be able to get me. I had to make sure I ran fast as soon as I turned off the light because the monsters would only come out if it was dark. So I could be sure that running fast + jumping on bed = beating the dark and thwarting any dumb ol' monsters!
I used to think that my bed had wierd polar bear type monsters underneath so when I went to bed I would try to hear them plotting wierd schemes on me now I am 11 and under my bed is filled with junk... no polar bears.
I used to be terrified of the crocodiles that i thought lived under my bed in the dark - I used to hate it if I had to get up in the night in case they managed to bite my feet off!
I was only five when the movie Scream came out. I remember seeing a preview for it on some talk show, and it terrified me so badly that I started to think the killer lived in my closet. I was afraid to open the door because obviously, he'd stab me in the chest. When I got up every morning, I'd sit there until the sun came through my window and went under my closet door. The sunlight would temporarily vanquish the killer, and then I'd be able to get my clothes out and go about my day as usual.
My mom yelled at me a lot for taking so long to get dressed in the mornings.
i used to think those things that held toilet papers to the thing on the wall were my mom's used tampons because they looked like them. so i was afraid to touch themXD
I used to pile every stuffed toy I could fit, under my covers when I was little. If I couldn't fit them under the covers, then I would find blankets or even kleenex if thats all i had, and cover them so they were safe from whatever monsters there were. I had this HUGE mound of them at the foot of my bed so that I could not hardly fit in the bed myself.
When i was little i used to beleive that outside our house there was a money tree because i allways used to find change underneath, turns out it was just drunk people walking past throwning there change at the tree lol
The backyard of my old house was spooky enough: It smells funny and very much resembles a giant covered tunnel that twists to the right when you're standing by the kitchen door. It's pitch-black at night. If you need to go there then, you need to walk right in and fumble around on the walls for the switch.
There was a horror story about a boy who was attacked by giant earthworms. In the illustration of the scene of the attack, I realized that it looked just like our backyard.
Thereafter, I solidly refused to go there alone.

I always thought that portraits hanging in the walls became portals to other dimensions at night, so I could never have portraits in my room.
I used to think there was a goblin under my bed that would get me if I came to close, so I had to jump onto my bed without getting to close. It was fun.
I also used to think that there was a vampire under my bed. I had an active imagination (and still do), so I thought he would make his teeth grow, like in the old movies, and they would go though the entire bed and go through my arm and kill me.
I was a weird kid.
I use to believe that when you stuck your hand through a washing machine wringer, your entire body would go through and you'd end up flat as a pancake like the cartoon characters.
