when i was younger, me and my brother would alwaysss play Twister (the game when u spin the hand thing and you have to put ur foot/hand on the differnet colors) and he would always say that if i cheated or if i did something wrong it would somehow push one of the colors(i thought they were buttons!) and it would open you and i would fall down into a pit or something =[
I kind of jumped to a conclusion on this one, but until I was 8, this is what i though: Do you know those sattelite and phone towers with the blinking red lights? I used to think they were missiles and thats why they put the fences around them. I moved to a house that was near one when I was 7 and i cried because my room was the closest to the tower, I thought it would explode and blow up my room.
When I was really young I would get mad at anything that I ran into. If I ran into a wall or piece of furniture, I'd kick it back, as if it was it's fault, not mine. I would say something like "the wall hit me!" Or "stupid wall!" The habit got passed on to my friend and she once stuck her tongue out at a bar above the slide that she bumped into.
i have dreams that seem very real to me. when i was young i was having a conversation with my mom and brother it was one of those "hey do you remember when...." conversations.. everyone laughed at me when i asked "Hey do you remember when the goodyear blimp crashed into our willow tree?~!?" i was crushed when they told me it didnt happen
Me and my friend used to always play on my swing set. i thought that if i stood ontop of the slide and whispered into the big bolt ontop of the pole beside it my friend could here me by listening to the bolt beside the swing
i used to belive that if i jumped off a house roof , gravity would invert and i would fall in to the sky.
i never did.
good thing man. good thing.
i was 5 now 19
When I was 8, my uncle used to tell me that if I pressed the stop button on the television's remote, the television would explode. I didnt touch that remote until I was 12 in fear of blowing up the neighborhood.
Whe I was little I had a T.V in my room because my mom would watch it with me sometimes and when I was asleep with a night light and I thought that the light shining from the night light on to the T.V was the "T.v light" and I was soo scared of it. I thought it would popout and hopp down the hallway to my parents room and eat them.
up until i was about 7 i used to believe that there was an evil old man who lived in all of the dark parts of my house and if i went into a room without turning on the lights, he'd tie me up and feed me to his pet cockroaches. i'm 13 now and i don't believe in him anymore, but i still fear being eaten by cockroaches
When I was small when I moved to woodbrook an apartment each time a door opened in a bathroom there wud be a crack for a second and when my mom wasnt home each time i heard a crack i wud run to the doors and see is there anyone there..turns out it was just my neighbours..
When i was little me and my sister thought that in one part of the wall if we tore it out we could go to chubby land and have those little Chubby pops and cotton candy and junk food... if only it was all real. We spent alot of time down there trying to tear up one little board in the wall but when my dad found out he put a nail in it. I was so dissapointed.
since i was 5 iv believed that evil things (such as clowns or the blob) would suck me into a drain and kill me. still to thid day i wont go near a drain...my 6 yr old son makes fun of me for it
I used to believe that if too many people gathered on one side of the house, it could tip over. My parents Christmas parties were hell, with me running around trying to space everyone out and the adults just staring at me confused.
i beleived that when someone bought a new house, they would swap with the person they bought it from
When I was really little, my parents had our entire living room decorated in Elvis Presley memorbilia. I used to be so afraid of the eyes in all the pictures of Elvis, that my parents had to go around to the all their huge pictures and tape tissue paper over his eyes so that I wouldn't be afraid. People used to come to our house and ask "Why are Elvis' eyes covered??"
when i was around 7 yrs old, my father was vacuuming and found a straw sticking out of an electric outlet. My father told us that whoever (me or my 2 younger sisters) did it must tell him immediately so he could rush them to the hospital before their hair fell out. I started crying profusely... and my father assumed I had stuck the straw in the outlet. As he dragged me to my room, i yelled... " i didn't do it" and he asked "then why are you crying?". I screamed at the top of my lungs.... " I DON'T WANT A BALD SISTER!!!!"
I used to share a bunk bed with my older sister, and we would always fight for the top bunk. One day my sister told me that the heaviest person was supposed to sleep on the top. She showed me the warning tag that was attached to the frame, knowing I couldn't read, and started making up what it said. For years after, I would tell all my friends about how the heavier one of us had to sleep on top, instead of bottom.
When I was a kid I'd look for places to hide before I go to bed, because I believe that strange men will attack me while I'm asleep.
You can never be too sure.
I used to believe that my grandma's spare room was haunted because my brother and sister played a prank on me. I was scared to go into the spare room by myself, and i still am now!
My mum told me not to lick a knife. I, naturally, asked why, and she replied that I might cut my tongue otherwise. And still to this day, whenever I lick knives, I never lick the cutting edge, only the side. Only much later did I learn it was apparently bad manners to do so regardless of which side you lick. Obviously she should have explained it that way instead of trying to be clever ;)
