When I was, like, 4 or something, I thought there were sleeping monsters behind the shower curtain, and when you flushed the toilet, the would wake up and get you. I'm still creeped out, and occaisionally, I'll run out of the bathroom.

After seeing the part of Jurassic Park where the man gets eaten in the bathroom I thought that if I went to the bathroom alone at night a T-rex head would come through the window and eat me. Why only at night, I don't know.

I used to believe that when shampoo or conditioner had "extra body" written on it. It meant that u could put it on your body as a sort of body wash. Needless to say our family ran out of shampoo and conditioner very very quickly!!

My 4 yr. old daughter has a panic attack if anyone pulls the drain plug out of the drain of the bathtub while she is in it because she believes that she will go down the drain with her bathwater. I used to believe the same thing when I was little and thought it was neat that she did too!

For a good chunk of my childhood, I was extremely leery of taking baths, and when I did, I refused to put my head in the water. My reasoning? I was certain that the water could seep in through my ears and drown me by suffocating my brain.

I used to believe that the reason toothpaste was effective was because of how it burned in my mouth. So it effectively burned the plaque and germs away. Same with Listerine.

I thought the Devil lived in the bathtub drain and if I stayed in the tub while the water drained I'd get sucked into Hell.

when i was 12 my dad said i didn't do such a great job cleaning the bathroom, and next time i should use some elbow grease
from that point on i would search high and low for the elbow grease in our cabinets, but never did find it
when i finally asked him to buy some more, he of coarse had a look on his face of disbelief, and in that i was never assigned that job again

When i was about 8, whenever i took a bath I always though a shark or pirana would come out of the drain! I was so scared since i could never see the drain when i used the bubbles, i laugh about that still.
