I thought that I could be sucked into the drain if I stayed in the tub as the water drained out.
I used to believe that if I close my eyes while in the shower, Freddy Kruger would come and kill me
When I was little I thought that there was kidnappers behind my shower curtain, so every time I had to go to the bathroom I would try to sneak up to the shower curtain, but they were always gone in time. I wondered how they knew I was coming.
I used to believe that if you are in the bathtub while the water's draining, you get sucked in, logical isn't it? I also believed there was a armadillo under the drain
I used to believe that 'Give Way' signs on the road meant that you were near somewhere to buy presents to 'Give' a'Way' to people.
I alsothought a witch lived in the sewers and when I flushed the toilet she would come running out of the bathroom after me!! I used to run like the clappers!!
When I was about 9 years old I used to be afraid of the shower if I wasn't in it. I used to think that a dead person would be in there if te curtain wasn't open..
I used to be scared of the noise from the toilet. I would use the toilet, wash my hands, flush...then run!! LOL
I used to believe that if you bathed with the light off at night, when you pull the plug out a hippo would come up into the bathroom through the drain.
I used to think that a murderer was behind the shower curtain.
I used to believe that Ghost Busters slime would eat me in my bath tub. Since I saw it on TV.
when I was a kid I turned off the bathroom light and run away in fear of the devil
I used to believe that there was a snake in the toilet that would bite you and that made me and my siblings afraid to use the toilet. We would scream whenever our parents put one of us on the toilet when we had to go, we would take our pull up off and pee or poop all over the floor, it was frustrating for my parents.
I saw the movie "Jaws" when I was less than 8 years old. I used to believe that the chipped enamel in the bathtub (which looked like a goldfish) might turn into a shark and eat me. As a consequence, whenever I bathed I would cover the chip with a drinking glass so that I could "cage" the shark. Crazy imagination!
In the shower, when the water dripped down the drain, the light caught it in such a way that it looked like eyes glowing back at me. For years, I thought there was a frog living in the pipes beneath the shower.
I used to think it was possible to be flushed down the bathtub drain.
When I was small I was afraid of bath tubs that didn't have a screen on the drain hole. In the back of my mind I was afraid that I would get a toe stuck or something scary would come out and get me.
As a very young child, I was traumatized by Mister Rogers. It had never occurred to me that one could be sucked down the bathtub drain, so I didn't have that fear until I heard him sing the song about how it's impossible.
When I (would) take a bath I (would) never close my eyes or go close to the drain because I was afraid that something would come out of the drain and grab me.
I used to believe that if the bathroom light was on whatever monsters there were in the house would not be able to get me. Other lights would do, but the bathroom was best.
I used to believe that if too much water went into the overflow hole in the bathtub, it would fill inside the walls of the bathroom and flood the house.
I always hated taking a bath because I believed I would get sucked down the drain. I learned this from the Ernie Kovacs (sic) show which my dad watched on a regular basis. At one point this show featured a hand sticking up through a draining bathtub drain.
