I used to believe that there was a little man living in the bathtub drain who drank all the water when you unstopped the drain. If you didn't get out before all the water went down he would swallow you.

When I was little, I always jumped out of the bathtub before the stopper was pulled because I thought you could could get sucked down the drain and you would end up in China. I would scream if one of my parents would pull the stopper and I was still in the water. My dad finally showed me that even my tiny child foot was larger than the drain and there was no chance it was going down.

I used to think scales measured your feet because on time my grandma asked me what i was doing i told her i was measuring my feet and that i had a right to measure my feet to.

When we were kids my Mom told us that we were not supposed to drink the water from the tub, and we thought she meant that we could not drink the water from the tub faucet because it was bad for you. So for the longest time I thought the water that came out of the faucet was only to bath in not to drink.

One night, when I was 6, I watched a show with my parents about psychos that killed people in their own homes. I got freaked out by that show and needed to go, so I ran upstairs to the bathroom. But when I saw that the lights were left on and the toilet wasn't flushed, I tried to hold it in because I thought that the psycho was hiding in the shower! Needless to say, my parents did not appreciate having to vacuum the carpet each day.
To this day, I'm still a little paranoid.

When I was little I remember going to my parents friends house. I had to use the bathroom and so i went upstairs but when I went to walk into the bathroom I saw Spiderman sitting in the bath tub. I turned round and ran down the stairs but I never said to anyone. I`m still not entirely sure as to what it was but it was definately wearing a spiderman suit. I think about this alot still (20 years on)

I got afraid that characters from movies, would break into my bathroom while I was in the shower, and kill me. So I showered with the curtain half open. Every morning I'd have to clean up all the water on the floor.

When I was little my there was a hole in the bathroom wall where my brothers had slammed the door to hard. Anyways I always had this irrational fear that there was a guy in the wall and I went potty really fast so he wouldn't shoot me.

I used to think that if you looked in the bathroom mirror when the light was turned off, a huge zombie/devil/ghoul/Britney Spears would jump out and eat you alive. This led to my insistence that my unfortunate parents sit outside the bathroom every time I went, just in case there was a blackout.

I used to be so scared while going to the bathroom because there was this clay rabbit head on the wall. I used to belive that its body would emerge from the wall and grow really big and carry me on its back. Then it would jump up really high into outerspace and through me off and jump back to earth as I would sufficate.

When I was young, I read something in a book by a Brittish author which said that in a submarine, food was stored anywhere possible, even "in the toilet". Not knowing that they ment the bathroom, I was confused why they would keep food in a toilet,
because did they bother to take it out before they flushed or not, and I wondered why they didn't cosider this metod of storage unhealthy.
