my closet used to be full of so many things when i was younger. So because of this i never really saw the wall at the back of my closet. I would believe that if i ever made it to that wall, i would find a door that could transport me where ever i wanted. Sadly, that was disproved when one rainy day i made it to the wall..

When I was nine I watched the movie "The Blair Witch Project." I also had this very small trap door in my closet that opened up to a large room filled with insulation. At the far end I could see broken pottery and a newspaper and decided only someone who could fly could get over there without falling through. Therefore my brother managed to convince me that she lived in the door in my closet. For a year after that I slept in his room because I was so scared.

When I was young We lived in a large, very old house. It only had a coal furnace and the heat had to filter up to the sicond floor. Winters were cold. Most of the time you could see your breath upstairs. We just added a few more blankets. I remember how my Mom would shut the closet door in my room and place something in front of it. Then she would say, with a concerned look on her face, goodnight.
Now, My own family lives in the house that I grew up in. My son sleeps in the very room I did as a child. There's a new gas furnace in the basement now and the upstairs is warm in the winter. But now, if you'll excuse me, I have to tuck my little boy in his bed, shut a closet door and place something in front of it. Then, with a concerned look, say goodnight. Strange,,,huh?

when I was about 4, I used to think that on Black Friday, everything would actually turn black. A half a year ago I got a pair of white boots which I thought were the ugliest things, but I would have loved them black. I woke up on Black Friday and was very disappointed to see that they were still white.
